Jews Only

According to John, Jesus was (is) the Word and the Word was (is) God and He was the creator. John 1:1-10. In verse 14 He was made flesh (a Jew).
Then John 1:11 states He came unto his own, and his own received him not. He went to the Jews (and offered them the Kingdom of David) but they rejected him. However, according to John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: This would be the Jews who believed on His Name.

But what about the Gentiles?
Let’s look at the words of Jesus while he walked on the earth.
Matthew 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And again in Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The twelve continued this even after the resurrection and ascention:
Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem
And again in Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Even Saul after his conversion went to the Jews. Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. Acts 9:22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
This JEWS ONLY continued for many years as evidenced in Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
And Saul continued this practice even after his name was changed (Acts 13:9) from Saul to Paul: Acts 13:16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
But the Gentiles started to hear Paul in Acts 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath
And as the Jews spoke against Paul he turned to the Gentiles. (Acts 13:46) Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you (Jews): but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
But did Paul turn his back on his own people? Nay, he just obeyed the Lord and opened the door of Salvation to the Gentile world.
Romans 3:29 Is He the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Romans 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, in as much as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Paul stated further:
Galatians 2:8 For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:
1 Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
2 Timothy 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

The Apostles had a ministry to reach the Jewish nation with God’s good news (Salvation) and Saul (Paul) was commissioned by God to go to the Gentiles. Thus, Paul’s epistles were written to Gentile Churches which also had believing Jews.

Gospel of…

Gospel of the Kingdom or Gospel of Grace …
is there a difference?

Image result for Gospel of the Kingdom or Gospel of Grace

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Matthew 10:5-6 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Image result for gospel of the kingdom

Gospel (Good News) of the Kingdom is the good news that the Kingdom (of Israel) was to be established with the Messiah ruling from David’s throne in Jerusalem. It would happen when the Jew (Nation of Israel) accepted the Lord Jesus as their Messiah.
This began when Peter made his declaration of who Jesus was.
Matthew 16:15-17 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

It slowed down with the crucifixion of Jesus, but rebounded when he rose from the dead. The Gospel of the Kingdom was presented to Israel during the first 8 chapter of Acts with the Apostles urging Israel to REPENT, be BAPTISED, believe on the NAME of JESUS.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

But the Nation rejected their messiah (However, Many individuals were saved and added to the church).
Saul got saved, became Paul and tried to reach the Jew but was rejected and so he turned to the Gentiles and the Church was established opening up the Gospel of Grace for both JEW and GENTILE to be saved as they Believed in the death, Burial and resurrection (1 Corinithians 15:1-4).

Evolution Facts

Image result for evolution facts for kids

IF evolution is true (factual), what about?
I. FACT: The earth is slowing down.
The earth’s spin rate has been measured by atomic clocks for over 20 years. The earth’s rotation has been slowing down at the rate of about one second every 10 months. The earth would have been spinning so fast, that even 50 million years ago life would have been impossible. The winds would have been about 500 miles per hour about 1 million years ago.
II. FACT: The earth’s magnetic field has been getting weaker.
Over the past 140 years, the measurement of the earth’s magnetic field has shown a rapid steady decline in it’s strength. Take that backwards in time, and it is believed that the heat produced by this would have melted the earth’s crust.
III. FACT: The earth is losing it’s moon.
The earth’s moon is slowly moving away. Which means it used to be closer. The moon effects our tide. Twenty million years ago the moon would have been so close that everything would have drowned about twice a day.
IV. FACT: The earth’s oil pressure should be gone.
The Earth’s oil pressure is decreasing. That means that it used to be greater than today. The rock strata surrounding the oil deposits could not hold up under the increased pressure for more than 10 to 15,000 years. The oil pressure should have leaked off by now. Why is it still under pressure?
V. FACT: The earth’s sun is getting smaller.
The sun is shrinking at about the rate of 5 feet per hour. That means that it used to be bigger. How much bigger could it get before it affected life on earth? About 20 to 30 million years ago it would have been touching the earth. But there are two planets closer to the sun than we are (Mercury, 36 million miles; and Venus, 67.2 million miles and they are still here. 10 to 15 million years ago the sun should have been touching Mercury.
VI. FACT: Mississippi Delta should have filled the Gulf.
The mud that has been deposited into the Mississippi River Delta by erosion ;has been measured at approximately 30,000 years worth of accumulation (at the current rate). A great flood could probably account for about 80% of that. (Millions and Millions of years would have filled the Gulf by now.)
VII. FACT: Niagara Falls is eroding.
The science textbooks say that is has been eroding for about 9,900 years. They can’t be positively sure why it didn’t start eroding before then. Maybe it was because of a great flood about 4400 years ago. About half of the erosion could be accounted for by that.
VII. FACT: The oldest tree dates to about 4300 years old.
A Bristlecone Pine in California is believed to be the world’s oldest tree. It has been dated at 4300 years old. Why isn’t there an older tree? Could it be because the Bible indicates that there was a great flood about 4400 years ago?
IX. FACT: The Great Barrier Reef.
A 20 year study on the growth of the coral reef off the coast of Australia shows it to be about 4200 years old. Why did this just start growing about 4200 years ago? Maybe it was because there was a great flood about 4400 years ago.
X. FACT: The Oceans are getting saltier.
Salt is being deposited into the oceans. They should be much saltier by now if the earth is as old as the evolutionists say it is. Where is all the salt?
XI. FACT: Stalactite Formations.
Evolutionists said that stalactite formations were formed at the rate of about 1 inch per 1,000 years. It turns out that they actually from at about the rate of 1 inch per year instead. For example: there are 50 inch stalactite formations under the Lincoln Memorial. He certainly didn’t die 50,000 years ago.
XII. FACT: The Earth Should be Over populated.
You can take a growth rate far below the current average, so as to allow for wars and famines and things, and still account for every person in the world today in less then 4,000 years. If the earth is so old, what happened to all the people? Maybe most of them were killed off in a flood about 4400 years ago.
XIII. FACT: The amount of dust on the Moon.
Some scientists said that dust was accumulating on the moon at about the rate of 1 inch every 10,000 years. But, the amount that they found was only about 6 to 7,000 years worth of accumulation. What happened to all the dust if the moon is billions of years old?
XIV. FACT: The amount Helium in the Atmosphere.
At the current rate helium is being formed in our atmosphere, the total amount that has been measured could be accounted for in less than 10,000 years.
XV. FACT: The existence of short-term Comets.
Short-term comets are supposed to burn up from orbiting around the sun in about 10,000 years. But, although there is no evidence that any are being formed anywhere today, they are still around and going strong. Why are they still there?
Evolutionists have tried to give explanations for where they may have come from and how they might be forming, but there is no evidence that any of this is actually happening. This just shows how determined they are to cling to evolutionary timespans.
WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?
There are many more ways of measuring the age of the earth that say that it could not possibly be billions or even millions of years old, but could be as young as the Bible says. If there really isn’t enough time for evolution to occur, then that means that the only alternative is special creation. Just like the Bible said.
The Bible also indicates that about 4400 years ago God sent a great flood as a judgment against mankind’s rebellion against it’s Creator. Many people perished because they weren’t prepared. The Bible says there is another judgment still in the furrier. Will you be prepared? The Bible says you can be. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Facts About Fossils

I. FACT: Fossil Definition.
“A fossil is the remains of a plant or an animal that have been preserved, usually in rock”. “Fossils are formed in several different ways. Some have been petrified – that is, turned to stone. ..Some survive as molds or casts in stone. Some are just prints n stone.” Fossils – Willowisp Press – 1977
II. FACT: What Formed the rock layers?
There are two choices:
A. Evolutionists say the different rock layers each represent a different time span (or geologic age). These rock layers were deposited slowly form erosion and sedimentation over billions of years.
Evolutionists say the bottom layer represents the oldest age of earth’s history. Each additional layer would be younger than the previous layer. The fossils found in each layer are the life forms that existed during that time period.
The name that the evolutionists have given to the arrangement of these rock layers is the Geologic Column.
B. Creationists say the different rock layers are mostly sedimentary layers that were laid down by the great flood that is described in the Bible that took place about 4400 years ago. The different layers were formed as the different types of soil were deposited according to their density.
Creationists say the rock layer that the fossils are found in, in part, represents each life form’s ability to survive during the great flood. (Because of mobility, intelligence, flotation, etc.)
III. FACT: PROBLEMS with the Geologic Column.
There are many anomalies in the proposed Geologic Column, things that should not be found there if it were true. If even one of these things were found, the honest scientist should be willing to admit that they made a mistake. Here are some examples:
A. Reversed ages.
There are old formations resting o top of younger formations. In Glacier National Park there is a hugh block of PRE-CAMBRIAN limestone (over 100 miles long, over 30 miles wide, and 6 ft thick) that is supposed to be 1 billion years old according to evolution. This is sitting on top of a CRETACEOUS shale formation that is supposed to be 100 million years old according to evolution.
B. Missing geologic ages.
In every column there are rock layers missing that are supposed to be there, representing many millions of years.
C. Polystrate fossils.
Example: Trees upright through many rock layers that are supposed to total 100’s of millions of years, with no sign of decay in the trees. Did this tree stand there for 100’s of millions of years while the rock layers were being formed around it, without growing old?
D. Few unconformities in the rock layers.
Most of the rock layers are in straight lines parallel to each other. They would of necessity have to have been laid down at the same time. There also is no sign of erosion between layers.
E. Evidence of humans in supposedly older rock layers.
a. They have found human and dinosaur prints together in the same rock strata (supposedly 65 million years old or so).
b. Fossilized trilobites, 230 million years old (according to evolution) in the fossilized footprints of man.
c. Human artifacts: jewelry, pottery, tools, sandals, etc. in all the rock layers, including those that are supposed to be up to 600 million years old. (But evolution says humans have only been here about two million years).
IV. FACT: Evidence of a World Wide Flood.
A. Few unconformities in the rock layers.
B. The rock layers are mostly water laid sediment.
C. Every mountain range contains marine fossils. The kind that would be found on the bottom of the ocean.
D. Almost all ancient cultures had a flood tradition where the earth was destroyed and one family survived.
E. Vast fossil graveyards all over the world.
F. Mammoths fast-frozen in an upright position, with tropical vegetation undigested in their mouthy and stomach. (A sudden catastrophe caused this, not a gradual Ice Age.)
G. The geological features of the earth can be interpreted as the results of the flood: (Grand Canyon, etc.)
V. What about the age of the rock layers?
“It is obvious that radiometric techniques may not be the absolute dating methods that they are claimed to be. Age estimates on a given geologic stratum by different radiometric methods are often quite different (sometimes by hundreds of millions of years). There is no absolutely reliable long-term radiological ‘clock’. The uncertainties inherent in radiometric dating are disturbing to geologists and evolutionists…”
William D. Stansfield, Ph.D. (animal breeding) (Instructor of Biology, California Polytechnic State University) in The Science of Evolution, Macmillan, New York, 1977, p. 84.
For example: radiometric dating was used on lava rock formed in Hawaii in 1801, (which was less than 200 years ago) and it tested out at 3.5 billion years old. As far as the fossils themselves, fossilization has been observed in less than 100 years.
(Evolutionists use circular reasoning: they date the fossils by the rock layers, then turn around and try to date the rock layers according to the index fossils that are found in them.)
(A good book on this subject is: “Evolution: the Challenge of the Fossil Record”, Dr. Duane T Gish, Ph.D. (Biochemistry, University of California, Berkeley. Master Books.)

Frog Prince

THE FROG THAT TURNED INTO A PRINCE:

Image result for frog prince

Once upon a time, long ago and far away, a fair maiden kissed a frog, and the frog turned into a prince. We all know that’s a fairy tale don’t we? But, have you heard this one?

Millions of years ago there was a frog. That frog, when given enough time, turned into a prince all by himself. Even though we know that it’s a fairy tale, they are still treating it as a fact in the science textbooks.

If a frog turns into a prince rapidly, that’s a fairly tale. But if the frog turns into a prince slowly, that’s science. It still sound like a fairy tale to me.

Even if the earth were billions of years old (and it’s not), it wouldn’t help. According to the Second Law of thermodynamics:  “Everything tends toward disorder.” Thing don’t get better left on their own, they get worse.

Just because the majority of scientists still sincerely hold to their beliefs in evolution, doesn’t make it a fact. It was men of science that drained  blood out of George Washington three times trying to cure his illness. He didn’t make it. The medical field thought that was a cure back then. George Washington’s doctors were sincere, they were intelligent, and they were highly trained and motivated, but what they believed was wrong.

Scientists used to believe that the earth was flat, but that didn’t flatten it out. They  used to believe big objects fell faster than small objects, but they were wrong.    Fossil bones and rock layers  do not talk or have dates stamped on them. Radiometric dating is used to determine their ages. But, lava rock formed in 1801 in Hawaii was determined by radiometric dating to be 3.5 billions years old. Many more such examples could be given to show how unreliable this form of dating method is.

Scientists who believe in evolution do so by choice, and not because it is supported by the facts. In fact, just the opposite is true. Evolution is a belief system about origins, and is not, and should not be considered science. The evolutionists say, “In the beginning dirt.”  But the Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Global Warming – Climate Change

Should these be of concern for believers? Will we (mankind) destroy the earth? I grew up in an era of being taught that we would blow up the earth with our nuclear bombs. Now the fear being taught is that Global Warming/Climate Change will bring about our destruction. Should we as believers in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ be concerned? As a believer, I also believe that the Bible, the Holy Scripture, is the word of God. So, what does the Word of God have to say about the destruction of the earth and when will it happen?

According to Scripture the Heavens and Earth are to be destroyed and replaced:
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
2 Peter 3:10-13 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Should this cause the believer to fear? It is going to happen! But when? And How? The Lord Jesus taught of a period of time (still to come) called the Tribulation (Great). Read Matthew 24. This period of time will last 7 years (see study on Tribulation).
The Scripture teaches of another period of time that follows the Tribulation; the Millilumen (1000 years).
Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

The Tribulation (7 years), and the Millilumen (1000 years) are events still to come. They cannot start until after the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) occurs. And the Rapture hasn’t happened as yet.
Yes, according to Scripture the Heaven and Earth will be destroyed BUT not by the hand of mankind and Global Warming/Climate Change; But by God. And this event WILL NOT happened for at least 1007 years from now.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

What does it mean to be Holy?
Adjective – dedicated or consecrated to God or a religious purpose; sacred.

Many of the times the Apostle Paul uses the word Holy he is referring to the Holy Ghost/Spirit, the third part of the GodHead. And a study of these references would prove to be very profitable.
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
2 Corinthians 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Grace

noun – simple elegance or refinement of movement.
verb – do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one’s presence.

The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings (in Christian belief).
God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

The GRACE of God is best defined by the Apostle Paul in this verse:
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Paul used the word GRACE many, many times in his writings, as evidenced in his epistle to the believers in Rome:
Romans 1:5, 1:7, 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 4:4,16, 5:2,15,17,2021, 6:1,1415, 11:56, 12:3,6, 15:15, 16:20,
Romans 16:24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
To the Church in Corinth, Paul wrote:
1 Corinthians 1:34, 3:10, 10:30, 15:10, 16:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
2 Corinthians 1:2,12, 4:15, 6:1 , 8:1,67,9, 8:19, 9:8,14, 12:9
2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
Writing to the Galatian Church, Paul wrote:
Galatians 1:3,6,15, 2:9,21, 5:4, 6:18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
Writing to the Church at Ephesus, Paul wrote:
Ephesians 1:2,67, 2:5,78, 3:2,78, 4:7,29, 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Writing to the Church at Philippi, Paul wrote:
Philippians 1:2,7, 4:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
And to the Colossians, Paul reminded them of God’s Grace:
Colossians 1:2,6, 3:16, 4:6,18 … Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
To Thessalonica, Paul wrote of God’s Grace:
1 Thessalonians 1:1, 5:28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 1:2,12,16, 3:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And even in his personal letters he writes of God’s Grace:
1 Timothy 1:2,14, 6:21, 2 Timothy 1:2,9, 2:1, 4:22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
Titus 1:4, 2:11, 3:7,15,
Philemon 1:3,25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
In the Gospels it speaks of the source of grace:
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
In Acts, only by the grace of God, through the Lord Jesus Christ:
Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Acts 11:23, 13:43, 14:3,26, 15:11,40, 18:27, 20:24, 20:32
Apostle Paul reminds Jewish Believers:
Hebrews 2:9, 4:16, 10:29, 12:15, 12:28, 13:9
Hebrews 13:25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
Epistles to Jewish Believers are reminded of God’s Grace:
James 1:11, 4:6, 1 Peter 1:2,10,13, 3:7, 4:10, 5:5,10,12, 2 Peter 1:2, 3:18,
2 John 1:3, Jude 1:4
Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
And the final word in Scripture:
Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Image result for hope in the bible

The Apostle Paul wrote to believers much about our Hope. He used the word 39 times in his epistles:
To the believers in Rome he referred to our HOPE 13 times:
Romans 4:18 5:2 5:4-5 8:20 8:24-25 12:12 15:4 15:13
To the weak believers in the Corinthian Church Paul wrote to them about the believer’s HOPE (8 times):
1 Corinthians 9:10 13:13 15:19 2 Corinthians 1:7 3:12 10:15
And to the church in Galatian (who were wanting to bring the Law into Grace, Paul again used HOPE:
Galatians 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
To the faithful in Ephesus he reminded them of what hope is.
Ephesians 1:18 2:12 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
To Philippi Believers he spoke of His Hope.
Philippians 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, …
Hope of Heaven, of the Gospel, in Glory was his message to the Colossians:
Colossians 1:5 1:23 1:27
Having only spent a brief time with the believer’s in Thessalonica he taught them a lot and reestablished their belief with the Hope in our Lord Jesus:
1 Thessalonians 1:3 2:19 4:13 5:8 2 Thessalonians 2:16
As Paul prepared to depart this life he wrote to his “Preacher Boys” of hope:
1 Timothy 1:1 Titus 1:2 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, 3:7
To believing Hebrews (Jews) he wanted to establish their hope:
Hebrews 3:6 6:11 6:18-19 7:19
Peter writing to believing Jews scattered abroad (1:1) spoke of this hope:
1 Peter 1:3 1:13 1:21 3:15
And the Apostle John reminds us, every man can have this hope:
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Mercy and Grace

Mercy (compassion or forgiveness) can be shown toward an individual and the individual can still be punished or harmed.
Grace (free and unmerited favor) on the other hand is complete forgiveness.

Mercy is in OT 208 and in NT 53 – compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.
Grace is in OT 37 and in NT 122 – the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

As the Scripture is searched and compared it can be concluded that there is a difference between Mercy and Grace.

The Grace God gives to Believers is because He has Mercy (Romans 9:15 …, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.), and it is given as a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.)
