Genesis 6-9God was inside the Ark when He invited Noah to come into the Ark. God is with every believer. God still invites us today. Not into the Ark, but into his family and then into Heaven when we die. And it’s thru His Son, the Lord Jesus. By believing the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and confessing that He is God (Romans 10:9).
In Noah’s time, anyone could have gotten into the Ark, and been saved from the flood. Just as in Noah’s time, God, the Lord Jesus Christ, is in Heaven, inviting all who will come. Today there is room at the Cross (salvation) for all who will come. AS the song says:
How important is it that we believe the Lord Jesus was raised from the dead, resurrected back to life and that he rose from the grave after 3 days and 3 nights?
If an individual can not or will not believe this, then Christianity is no different than any other belief in a god. Let’s see what the apostle wrote to the churches in his day. To the Churches he wrote: Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: Romans 4:24-25 But… if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 6:4-5 Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. … Romans 6:9Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; Romans 7:4 Wherefore, …, even to him who is raised from the dead, … Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead … Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, … Romans 14:9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he … 1 Corinthians 6:14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise … 1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third … 1 Corinthians 15:12-13 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 1 Corinthians 15:15-17 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? … 1 Corinthians 15:42-44So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, … 2 Corinthians 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 2 Corinthians 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
There are those who want to remove the blood from scripture and song. They say it makes Christianity a gory religion and just the fact that Jesus died for us is enough. But what saith the scripture? Let’s start with the words of Jesus: Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Luke 22:20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. To summarize what Jesus said about HIS BLOOD: remission of sins, shed for many, shed for you, hath eternal life, dwelleth in me (Christ). Looks like Jesus taught HIS BLOOD was important. The Apostle Paul wrote much of the blood of Christ: Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, … Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 1 Corinthians 10:16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, … Ephesians 1:7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Colossians 1:14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Ephesians 2:13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Colossians 1:20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, … And to Jewish believer’s Paul wrote: Hebrews 9:12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from … Hebrews 9:22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 13:12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. At Ephesus, Paul reminded the church elders: Acts 20:28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. And Peter, to his fellow Jews wrote: 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, … But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: John also wrote of the importance of the blood: 1 John 1:7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Revelation 7:14… These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
As the hymn writer penned: “What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus”
