It’s Your Choice

How you live your life is YOUR choice. You can live a good life or an evil wicked life or anything in between. Denying what the scripture says insures that you will spend eternity separated from God.

Or you can believe God, His word (the Bible) and believe the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in your heart that the Lord Jesus is God and confess with your mouth (Romans 10:9-13).

Then, how you live your life is YOUR choice. You can live a good life or an evil wicked life or anything in between. Just remember you will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give account of yourself (Romans 14:11-12).

Yes, you will go to Heaven and will spend eternity with God. But what will your rewards be?

As the Apostle Paul wrote: 1 Corinthians 3:9-15 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Think of it this way. All your works (the way you lived) will be used to build a building upon the Foundation (the Lord Jesus). And he will dump gasoline on it and then toss a match to it.

What will be left? That’s your reward for all eternity.

Only one way to Eternal Life – through the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul is the Apostle to the Gentiles (Romans 11:13). What did he teach about going to Heaven, Being Saved, SALVATION?

And is mentioned 4 times in 2 Corinthians 1:16, 2:15 and 7:10 with the key verse being 2 Corinthians 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (note: you cannot EARN salvation, but you should live holy)
Paul reminded worried Thessalonian believers of their salvation:
1 Thessalonians 2:16, 5:8-9, 2 Thessalonians 2:10 and in 13.
And he reminds Timothy of his salvation and calling:
1 Timothy 1:15, 2:4, 4:16 and 2 Timothy 1:9, 10 and 3:15.
And to Titus, Paul sums up the Grace of God and salvation:
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Salvation is NOW, in this life, when you believe the gospel and a FUTURE event at the time of death or Rapture.

Rewards and Losses

1 Corinthians 3:11-15

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

     Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
     Romans 14:10-12 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
     Judging  Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
     1 Corinthians 2:13-16 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
     2 Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
     Malachi 4:1  For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

     Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
    Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    Romans 10:9-13  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
