Genesis 3:1-7 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
SIX STEPS AWAY FROM GOD: Vs 1 Listen to Others Vs 2 Answer in your own wisdom Vs 3-4 Believe what they say Vs 5 Don’t verify their words Vs 6 Follow their advice Vs 7 When you find out you’ve been wrong … Cover it up … Don’t confess it.
The solution: Realize your sin, Confess it and then keep God and His Word first in your Life.
7 A Son Ship John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Galatians 4:7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Philippians 2:15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.Romans 8:17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Titus 3:7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
4 A Radiant Life Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Acts 6:15 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel. 5 A Character Building Matthew 7:24-29Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes 6 A Fellowship Luke 24:32And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Matthew 18:20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 1 Corinthians 1:9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Salvation is based on Faith in the Gospel: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And the only thing we can do is found in: Romans 10:9-13That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Gospel = Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ Confess = to admit With thy mouth = tell others The Lord Jesus = that He is God Believe = to accept (as fact) THOU SHALT BE SAVED = Going to Heaven (after death or in the Rapture).
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Why is this man so different from all the billions of men who have ever lived? Why is his name used in the praise and cursing that falls from the lips of men? It stated he was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a martyr’s death! Why? Because of his ideals? Because he wanted to change the establishment? Because he wanted to establish a new religion? No! These are not the reasons. They don’t satisfy answers to the further questions they stir up. His birth, life and death were not accidents, not mere chances of fate. THE SCRIPTURE DECLARES: Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, God sent forth his Son for a reason: The reason! To die for our sin. Look what concerning his death, John 10:17-18Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Yes, Christ died for the Sin of the world. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Galatians 3:22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Thot: God is satisfied with the cross as settling the sin problem… and the world should be satisfied with that which satisfies God!
It’s been said, “Everyone must do two things, pay taxes and die”. Every year we must give an account of our last years earnings, and pay tribute (taxes) to the government. Filing date is usually April 15th. Have you filed for this year? Have you claimed all your earnings?
A TAX assessor came one day to a pastor to ascertain the amount of taxes he would have to pay. MATTHEW 17:24-27 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Hebrews 4:15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Christ our Example met His Temptations with Scripture: Matthew 4:4 It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.Deuteronomy 8:3 Matthew 4:7 It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Leviticus 18:22-23 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.
Romans 1:18-32 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Genesis 19 The story (and sin) of Sodom and Gomorra. Jude 7In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Matthew 10:15Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
Hebrews 13:4Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
Peter gives good advice: 1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them (wives) according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Paul also has instructions for Husbands: Ephesians 6:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 6:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Ephesians 6:33Nevertheless let every one of you (Husbands) in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Colossians 3:19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. For a good marriage: 1 Corinthians 7:2-4 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Good Church Leaders: Titus 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
