Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations. Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 in the United States and on either April 22 or the day the spring equinox occurs throughout the rest of the world.

 Read the Bible.

God created earth and named it.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
God gave dominion over it.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
God flooded it because of man’s evilness.
Genesis 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
God promised not to flood it again.
Genesis 7:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
But earth and heaven will be destroyed, because of man’s sin.
2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
God will give us a new heaven and earth.
2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
Revelation 21:1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

When we know these things WHY does man think he can control the climate?

Who Can See Jesus

Hebrews 2:1-13 Read vs 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Of course, the reference in Hebrews is not speaking of actually seeing the Lord in person, but, several people have claimed to have seen Jesus. Some in near death experiences and others just in a vision. One question all should ask themselves “What does Jesus look like?” How would you identify Him?
By the painting (ART WORK) we see? Which one? They all look different and were painted long after the Lord Jesus ascended back into Heaven.
But there are 5 ways WE CAN see the Lord Jesus:
In the Scripture
Hebrews 10:7
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
In Creation
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Romans 9:20-21 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Colossians 2:15-16 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
In The Church
Ephesians 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
In the Saints (Believers)
Romans 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Christian means Christ Like! ARE YOU?
In Heaven
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Acts 7:55-56 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR NAME IS IN THE BOOK?
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

His Cross

What do you know about the Cross? The Cross that the Lord died upon.
It’s interesting that it was made of wood AND that God chose NOT to save it …
What did it look like> A “T” or “t” or “X” or “I” .The word Cross only appears in the New Testament.
28 times. 17 times in the Gospels and 11 times in the epistles.
Jesus mentioned the cross 6 times BUT not to His cross.
Matthew 10:38, 16:24, Mark 8:34, 10:21, Luke 9:23, 14:27 As a burden.
The cross has been immortalized in song: “The Old Rugged Cross”.

What was THIS Cross?
To the Mob … it was an instrument of punishment and death. One of the cruelest forms of execution devised by man. It wasn’t around very long, used by the Romans. Yet 1000 years before the Psalmist wrote Psalm 22.
To the Jew … His cross was a curse! On the way to Calvary, the Lord stumbles and Simon the Cyrene was compelled to take up the cross.
Why compelled? Matthew 27:32
Simon was a Jew, on a pilgrimage to the Holy City, Jerusalem.
He knew Hebrew Law,
Deuteronomy 21:23, And the cross was a tree.
YES, to the mob, an instrument of death, to the Jew a curse.
But to God, it was an altar. Since the days of Adam, innocent blood has been shed to cover the sins of man. Now, the final sacrifice was to be given to forgive the sins of man.
The Lamb of God would offer His blood for the Sin of all.
1 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 9:28, 10:12,14

To the mob, an instrument of death, to the Jew a curse, to God an altar.

Good News Part 2

Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Is it any wonder that the Apostle Paul is upset with anyone who would distort it? It’s Good news because God made it happen in spirt of what we are or what we have done.
Galatians 1:12-20 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
Good News that can and will change your life, and this Good News is not limited; It’s for all.
Most Good News is limited to where, when and who it involves.
A Game Victory in the winners locker vs the locker room of the loser.

The Gospel, Good News of God is for all who believe.
When is it Good News?
When you need it most…
When you first believe …
When you slip into sin …
When you are at your lowest …
When death comes stalking…
When we will hear the trumpet…
When we enter into Glory …
TODAY ==Good News … Christ died for me… If I believe …
I’m saved for all eternity
