God’s Judgments Part 2

Last 3½ years of Tribulation

Revelation 16 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

After the Ascension Part 2

Around 40 AD Peter is sent to the house of Cornelius: (Recorded twice)
1st ⇒
Acts 10:13-15 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

2nd ⇒ Acts 11:7-9 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

About AD 54, while in city of Corinth, the Lord again spoke to Paul:
Acts 18:9-10 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

About AD 57, The Lord told Paul:
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Again about AD 59, while in Caesarea the Lord spoke to Paul for the last recorded time:
Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said,
Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

Does this mean the Lord Jesus talks to man today?
Hebrews 1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
And just how has the Lord Jesus (God) spoken to us?

Holy Part 2

He also refers to the scripture, the Old Testament as Holy.

Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

He calls the apostles and prophets Holy.

1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
1 Corinthians 7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
1 Corinthians 9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Holy Part 3

The apostle Peter, writing to the believing Jews also made much of HOLY. He also refers to the Holy Ghost/Spirit.
1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

And as we see in the above verses Peter speaks of Holy Men. And a quick study of the following verses Peter refers to Holy Believers, priesthood, nation, mount, commandment, prophets and in all holy conversation and godliness.
1 Peter 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
1 Peter 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
2 Peter 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2 Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

The apostle John, writing to the believing Jews spoke of the Holy One, Holy Ghost.
1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Jude, half brother of the Lord Jesus, reminds believers of their Holy Faith and the Holy Ghost.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Holy Part 4

And the Apostle John, writer of Revelation, makes much of HOLY: God, Believers, Angels, Apostles, prophets and cities.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth
Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Revelation 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
Revelation 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

We, Believers, are Holy and should live to be HOLY, dedicated and consecrated to God as we serve Him until he comes for us.

Personal Standards for Music Part 6

My Personal Standards for music are my own. Many people, especially Christians will disagree with me. I know that all people have different levels of sensitivity to music, therefore everyone will have different standards. But the issue of music is not whether you and I agree, it is whether I am right with my God. If a man can truthfully stand under God’s gaze and his standards are right according to God, than no man should judge him for them. But I also believe that there is a line concerning music that no man should cross. This line is crossed daily by people who claim to love God and call themselves Christians. There is no question why the world laughs at the Christian faith, they see Christians listening to the exact same trash that they do. Christians have allowed Satan to use them through music, therefore their influence over the unsaved has been watered down, polluted and almost destroyed.

Personal Standards for Music Part 5

Music in the Home
I believe that Music in the home can differ from music in the church to a certain extent. There is a time and a place for everything. You would not play Happy Birthday at a funeral just like you would not play certain songs in church. I do believe that there are songs that can be played in one’s home that are not songs about God.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Classical music is an example of music I deem appropriate in the home. There is nothing sinful about the structure of classical music, and studies have proven that it increases the creativity of the mind. I also believe that certain romantic songs are appropriate for a husband and wife to listen to at certain times. Bluegrass, Southern Gospel (with discretion) and songs with acoustic guitars are also acceptable music for home listening.
Music in the Heart
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
I believe that God created music not only for His own worship, but also for man’s souls. Music can comfort and uplift the spirit. It can change a grumpy attitude into a joyful one. The power of music over the mind is amazing and terrifying at the same time. Music has driven men to do great things. It can empower a person’s mind to create, excite a person to compete, but it can also compel a person to destroy. There was a young boy who listened to dark violent music all day long, and then he took a knife and murdered his aunt in the kitchen. When the boy was asked why he would do such a thing, he replied that he felt as if he had been driven by an inward force that demanded bloodshed. God never intended for music to be used in such a way, but when sin entered the world, it allowed way for many corrupt things. Christians should not permit music to seduce their heart to evil. Therefore we should take care to always keep a Godly song in our hearts.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
If Jesus Christ dwells in a Christian’s heart, then shouldn’t praise for Him also dwell there as well?
Sing unto God, sing praises to His name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.Psalm 68:4
I believe that we should wake with a song in our heart praising God, and sing it all day long. If a Godly song indwells us, then the Devil will not be able to use his music against us.

Personal Standards for Music Part 4

One way the Devil has accomplished this in modern day is through the use of Rock and Roll. The genre of Rock n’ Roll music got it’s start in the late 1940’s, through such artists as Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Brenda Lee, and the Everly Brothers. Since that time many other types of music have become popular, music genres such as Pop, Country, Dance, Jazz, Punk, Blues, Rap and the list goes on. All of these music types differ just a little, but they have one strong bond. They are all the Devil’s tool to corrupt a Christian’s mind, his heart, his body, and ultimately his ability to do anything for God.
I strongly believe that music is a drug. It is the most addicting and destructive force in this world. Music is used more often, and reaches more people than caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, cocaine, weed, heroine, gambling, porn, sex, and any other addiction known to mankind. The average amount of time a person spends listening to music is twenty to forty hours a week. Unlike alcohol or drugs, music can reach every age. Rap music blares through the car speakers as an infant is strapped in the back seat, and the parents think nothing of it. Pop music is running rampant through the headphones of America’s youth, and the police force, Alcoholic’s Anonymous, and rehab centers are doing nothing about it. These people who spend so much of their time trying to help people with their addictions are taking no action, because they don’t know that they have to. They do not realize that music is killing the souls of every single person on planet earth.
Music in the Church
I believe that Music in church should be sacred. The easiest way to put it would be that I believe all churches should only use a good old fashioned hymn book. However, that will not satisfy most people. These days people want to know why we can’t use projectors, and why the choir can’t sway back and forth, and why Chuck can’t play his electric guitar in the orchestra. My answer to all of those questions is why should we? Why would independent, fundamental, soul-winning, Bible believing, separated, Baptist Christians want to resemble the world in any way? John called out for Christians to be set apart from the things of the world.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.1 John 2:15
No one can refute that the verse clearly states that if we love the world and wish to be like them, than we do not love God. So if you want to bring contemporary music into the church, you must not love God, so why do you even go to church? However, my belief of old fashioned music in the church goes far beyond just that point. The old hymns were written by Godly men and woman such as Fannie Crosby, John Newton, and Charles Wesley. These people knew God, they walked with him daily, they had life experiences that God brought them through and they wrote about these experiences through songs. They praised God and brought glory to God. The types of songs we should sing in church are hymns such as “Holy, Holy, Holy,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Nearer my God to Thee.” These songs are what bring people to their knees at an altar instead of just waving their hand back and forth in a pew.

Personal Standards for Music Part 2

Ezekiel tells us that Satan knew it since the day that he was created.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.” Ezekiel 28:13
Since we know that the Devil knows how to use music, we can also know that he will use it against us.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.1 Peter 5:8
Satan has been using music to capture God’s people since Bible days. When Aaron crafted the golden calf for the people of Israel to worship, they danced around naked acting wild and satanic. It was certainly not God worshiping harps that caused their sensual dance.
When Nebuchadnezzar built an idol of himself for all the people of Babylon to worship, he signaled worship through music. The Bible lists several different instruments that were used to cue worship towards the idol. (Daniel 3:15) These instruments may not have been sinful; however, they directed worship toward a statue instead of God, causing the sin of idolatry.
Even in the Bible times, Satan used music to infiltrate the minds and hearts of people.
One way the Devil has accomplished this in modern day is through the use of Rock and Roll. The genre of Rock n’ Roll music got it’s start in the late 1940’s, through such artists as Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Brenda Lee, and the Everly Brothers.
