Confused

  1. Being unable to think with clarity or act with understanding and intelligence.
  2. Lacking logical order or sense

The first occurrence of confusion occurred After God had commanded the people to scatter and replenish the whole earth.
Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
God’s promise to Israel if they did not heed His word.
Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
The riot at Ephesus when the Apostle Paul preached the death burial and resurrection.
Acts 19:32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

And the confusion continues today.
Just because the people will not believe the Bible is the WORD OF GOD. And even among those who profess to believe: they don’t rightly divide the word.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
God warns about adding and taking away from His book.
Revelation 22:18-19
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Your God Part 2

And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.” (Exodus 3:14)
This unique name of God was given to stress the truth that He is timeless. The name “LORD” (Hebrew YHWH = Yahweh, or Jehovah) is essentially the same, conveying the truth that He is the eternal, self-existing One.

The Lord Jesus Christ appropriated this divine name to Himself when He told the Jews: “Before Abraham was [i.e., ‘was born’], I am” (John 8:58). Correctly assuming that this statement was nothing less than a direct claim to identity with God, the Jews immediately (but unsuccessfully) attempted to stone Him to death as a blasphemer.

As the I AM, the Lord Jesus Christ is, indeed, everything, and He has revealed Himself to us under many beautiful symbols. It is well known that there are seven great “I ams” in the gospel of John, each of which is rich with spiritual depth of meaning. They can be listed as follows:

I am the bread of life . . . the living bread (John 6:35, 51).
“I am the light of the world . . . the light of life
(John 8:12).
“I am the door of the sheep”
(John 10:7).
“I am the good shepherd . . . [who] giveth his life for the sheep”
(John 10:11).
“I am the resurrection, and the life”
(John 11:25).
“I am the way, the truth, and the life”
(John 14:6).
“I am the true vine
(John 15:1).

It is well known that this magnificent self-assertion of the Lord permeates the whole Bible, from its first use in Genesis 15:1, “I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward,” to its final occurrence in Revelation 22:16,I am . . . the bright and morning star.” And all these beautiful figures help us to pray more fervently “that God may be all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28).

Don’t Look Back

Luke 9:57-62 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
The above has nothing to do with Salvation. It speaks of service…
No man is fit … for the kingdom of God (Heaven).
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Works won’t improve the situation either …
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Not fit for the Kingdom (Heaven)
God called us to serve…He has given us Salvation.
Our Service here determines how we will fit into the Kingdom.
Our Salvation guarantees that we will be there.
Why or how does a person become unfit?
Remember the above text speaks of 3 who would follow…
Vs 58 Not willing to give up material things …
Vs 59 Not willing to forsake family …
Vs 61 Not willing to forsake his friends …
All three wanted to follow the Lord, to serve Him. The call had been given …
A glorious call, an exciting call, a challenging call …
Some reasons we become unfit to serve.
Miss familiar things
The children of Israel when delivered out of Egypt kept wanting to go back.
Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
Loving this present life 2 Timothy 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; …
The List continues2 Timothy 3 … covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
God has given us Salvation
Where are you going to fit into His Kingdom????
The choice is yours… Show it by your service!
