Mountains

The land of Israel is very mountainous. Over 45 mountains are referenced in Scripture. The mountains all seem to have names, and most of the have a city with the same name. Some of the mountains have more than one name, others are part of a range of mountains or the range itself.

There are many mountains in Scripture. They varied in size, shape, and location, but they all bring us closer to God. They bridged the gap between God and man for just the briefest of moments. Many of the mountains named were along the path of the Exodus from Egypt to the Promised land.
