When his work on earth was complete, he said: John 19:30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, Itisfinished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
And the Apostle Paul tells us: Hebrews 1:1-2God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
John the Apostle ends the Scripture with these words: Revelation 22:18-21 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The Lord Jesus came to present Himself as the King of Isarel and bring in the Kingdom of God promised to Abraham. But the nation of Israel Rejected Him and had Him crucified. During His earthly ministry He tried to reach the Jew. The 4 Gospels a test to that. John 1:11-12He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: The Lord came for the House of Israel only: Matthew 15:24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And He sent His disciples to the Jew only: Matthew 10:6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Paul reminds us of the Lord’s earthly ministry: Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: After The Lord’s ascension into Heaven He called Saul (Paul) on the road to Damascus to go to the Gentiles with the salvation gospel; Acts 9:1-6And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. The 4 Gospels contain many truths and we need to be aware of them. But believers need to be spending our study time in Romans to Philemon, the epistles of Paul.
THE LORD JESUS came for the House of Israel. He sent Paul for the gentiles.

Genesis 24:22And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold; Genesis 24:30 And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and braceletsupon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well. Genesis 24:47 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earringupon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands. God tells Jacob to visit his brother, Easu: Genesis 35:4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. Tamar, Judah’s daughter in law tricks him: Genesis 38:18And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. Genesis 38:25When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff. Pharaoh rewards Jacob: Genesis 41:42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; Aaron gathers jewelry to mold an idol: Exodus 32:2-3And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. Moses gathers donations to build the Tabernacle: Exodus 35:22And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD. Moses servants have taken the sum of the men of war: Numbers 31:50 We have therefore brought an oblation for the LORD, what every man hath gotten, of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and tablets, to make an atonement for our souls before the LORD.
The Last days have different meanings Jacob warns his sons: Genesis 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Durning the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth: Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. God says: Acts 2:17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Paul warns about Tribulation (7 years) 2 Timothy 3:1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. A warning to believing Jews: James 5:3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. 2 Peter 3:3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, Are you prepared for the last days? You don’t have to be there. The rapture come first! 1 Corinthians 51:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Abraham used Jewels to pay for Isaac’s wife: Genesis 24:53And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things. As Israel departs slavery in Egypt : Exodus 3:22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians. And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, even all wrought jewels. When moving the Ark of the Lord: 1 Samuel 6:8And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. 1 Samuel 6:15And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD. Judah gathers the spoils of War: 2 Chronicles 20:25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much. JUST WHAT IS GOOD NEWS???? “Boy, have I got good news for you”. That means many things to many people, depending on where they are and what’s happening! To the person waiting in a travel terminal for an overdue arrival. To the person in the waiting room in a hospital. To the student waiting for results of an exam. There’s a Bible Translation called “The GOOD NEWS” for Modern Man. Search the Scripture for GOOD NEWS. It is only found once: Proverbs 25:25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. We have been told GOSPEL means GOOD NEWS. .. Dictionary defines Good News as: Teaching of Jesus and His Apostles Anything earnestly believed Absolute Truth Books of the New Testament In the Greek: Euggelion- a good message (news) Euggelizo- to announce a good news message So, GOSPEL IS GOOD NEWS … But just what is Good News, and how good is this Good News? Is it a Religious myth? Is it a Philosophical Opinion? Is it a Mystical meditation? Religious myths (Roman/Greek Gods) are debunked by Science. Philosophical Opinions are replaced by other Philosophical Opinions Mystical meditations are shown to be folly in light of reality No, these are not the GOOD NEWS. … Just what is the Good News? … 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
The Apostle Paul, in his epistles explains THE GOSPEL and the way of Salvation:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: He was the Apostle to the gentiles: Romans 11:13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, When we believe the Gospel and follow Romans 10:9-13 we experience SALVATION. But James, Peter, John and Jude writing to Jewish believers hardly mention these subjects, let alone put them together: DEATH: James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 3:18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth indeath. 1 John 5:16-17 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. BURIAL: Never Mentioned RESURRECTION: 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 3:21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: And what about the Cross? The Apostle Paul also has much to say about the cross: 1 Corinthians 1:17-18For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Galatians 5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. Galatians 6:12As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. Galatians 6:14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Ephesians 2:16And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross , having slain the enmity thereby: Philippians 2:8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross . Philippians 3:18(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross , by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Colossians 2:14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross ; Hebrews 12:2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross , despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. But James, Peter, John and Jude writing to Jewish believers never mention the Cross.
