The Gospels are the recorded ministry of the Lord Jesus as He presented Himself as the Messiah to the Jews. And as recorded in John 3:16 He came in Love (love for the whole world). And love, as it appears in the Gospels will usually be spoken by the Lord Jesus. Love Appears 110 Times
The authorship to Hebrews is uncertain, BUT it is consistent with Paul’s writing and doctrine. This book presents Christ as the Author and Perfecter of our faith only as Paul would write. The Apostle Paul quotes Psalm 45:7 and Isaiah 61:3. Hebrews 1:9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. God keeps records of our life and works. (see Book of Life) Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. The way one should live. Hebrews 10:24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Love includes discipline. Hebrews 12:6For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Love comes first. Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
The 1st Commandment (of the 10) Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Moses reminds the Tribes (Jews) of Israel: Exodus 34:14For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Nebuchadnezzar declares: Daniel 3:29Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Malachi the prophet reminds Isreal (the Jews): Malachi 2:10Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? A Scribe (Jew) answers the Lord Jesus: Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: James (the half brother of the Lord Jesus) writes to the Jews: James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. John (the beloved disciple) reminds Jewish believers: 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. The Apostle Paul writes to the Churches: Romans 3:30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 1 Corinthians 8:6But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. And to Timothy Paul writes: 1 Timothy 2:5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; What did the Lord Jesus say?: John 10:30I and my Father are one. There are other references but for now, this is enough to prove that there is only ONE GOD and that God is: The Lord Jesus Christ
There are those who want to remove the blood from scripture and song. They say it makes Christianity a gory religion and just the fact that Jesus died for us is enough. But what saith the scripture? Let’s start with the words of Jesus: Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Luke 22:20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. To summarize what Jesus said about HIS BLOOD: remission of sins,shed for many, shed for you, hath eternal life, dwelleth in me (Christ). Looks like Jesus taught HIS BLOOD was important. The Apostle Paul wrote much of the blood of Christ: Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, … Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 1 Corinthians 10:16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, … Ephesians 1:7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Colossians 1:14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Ephesians 2:13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Colossians 1:20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, … And to Jewish believer’s Paul wrote: Hebrews 9:12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from … Hebrews 9:22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 13:12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. At Ephesus, Paul reminded the church elders: Acts 20:28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. And Peter, to his fellow Jews wrote: 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, … But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: John also wrote of the importance of the blood: 1 John 1:7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Revelation 7:14… These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
As the hymn writer penned: “What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus”
The Apostle Paul reminds them of what he is hearing. Philemon 1:5Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; Philemon 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
Paul prepares to ask for a favor from his friend. Philemon 1:9Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
We can succeed in this life, when we trust in God. 2 Timothy 1:7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Our faith and love comes from the Lord Jesus 2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is when men fail. 2 Timothy 3:2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 2 Timothy 3:4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; All true believer’s are looking for His coming! 2 Timothy 4:8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Love of this world causes a person to depart from true faith. 2 Timothy 4:10For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

The apostle thanks God for his salvation, as should we all. 1 Timothy 1:14And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Many times our love is for the wrong things. 1 Timothy 6:10-11 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Who are the unsaved and why! 2 Thessalonians 2:10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
God loves us and sent His son for us. 2 Thessalonians 2:16Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
The saved, believers, look for His coming. 2 Thessalonians 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
