A small rodent that typically has a pointed snout, relatively large ears and eyes, and a long tail.
The mouse is named among the unclean animals which the Israelites were forbidden to eat.
1 Samuel 6:4-5 Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords. Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.
1 Samuel 6:11And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.
1 Samuel 6:18And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.

Psalm 104:17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
These animals obey the ways of God, but man chooses to go his own way, disregarding the work of God. Jeremiah 8:7Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
A very interesting verse. Is this a description of some angels? Zechariah 5:9Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
The Lord Jesus gives a glimpse into Heaven: Matthew 22:30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Mark 12:25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Luke 20:35But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Psalm 74:19O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
Although not named in scripture, Eusebius—a well-respected ancient biblical scholar and historian—identifies Semiramis as the wife of Nimrod.
Semiramis was instrumental in Nimrod’s plan to rebel against God
Nimrod and Semiramis created a polytheistic religious system focused on the stars to lure God’s chosen people away from true worship.
After the death of Nimrod, she claimed that Nimrod was a god and that her newborn son was Nimrod, reincarnate. “So began the worship of Semiramis and the child-god, and the whole paraphernalia of the Babylonian religious system.”
Devotion to Semiramis has been well documented throughout history.
Referenced 3 times in Scripture: Genesis 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. Genesis 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 1 Chronicles 1:10 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth. According to History his wife was Semiramis.
A reference to his kingdom: Micah 5:6And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
“Dragons are among the most popular and enduring of the world’s mythological creatures. Dragon tales are known in many cultures, from the Americas to Europe, and from India to China. They have a long and rich history in many forms and continue to populate our books, films and television shows. It’s not clear when or where stories of dragons first emerged, but the huge, flying serpents were described at least as early as the age of the ancient Greeks and Sumerians. For much of history dragons were thought of as being like any other mythical animal: sometimes useful and protective, other times harmful and dangerous.” This is what the world believes and says. They acknowledge there are stories/drawings worldwide of dragons but calls them a myth. The Bible records Dragons in the Old Testament. Are these all wrong. What would they have called a dinosaur prior to the word being coined in 1842? (Over two hundred years before the Bible was printed). These same people say the Flood never happened or at least it was not worldwide.
Cassius Dio (c. 155 – c. 235) was a Roman statesman and historian of Greek and Roman origin. He published 80 volumes of history on ancient Rome, beginning with the arrival of Aeneas in Italy. One of his writings records the encounter of the Roman General Marcus Atilius Regulus and his troops battling a Dragon. Other Roman writers recorded events involving Dragons. Of course, they are all denounced and called myths.
Remember, the Holy Scriptures are the Word of God.
His name appears 17 times in 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles.
2 Samuel 15:12,31,34 16:15,20-21,23 17:1,6-7,14-15,21,23 23:34 1 Chronicles 27:33-34 To summarize his story: Ahithophel was King David’s counsellor. While serving David, David sinned. A quick summary of his sin. He should have gone off to war. He should not have watched his neighbor’s wife bathe. He should not have summoned her to his residence. He should not have had an adulterous affair with her When she was found with child David called her husband back from the war. When David’s plan failed, He ordered him back to battle with instructions for him to be left at the front and killed. David brought Bathsheba to the castle to be one of his wives. A child was born but later died. David was called out by Nathan and repented. Meanwhile, Absalom, one of David’s sons, gathered together an army and chased David from the castle. Ahithophel became Absalom’s counsellor and wanted to take men and go kill David. When Absalom said no, Ahithophel returned to his home and hanged himself.
WHY? David had destroyed his family. He was the grandfather of Bathsheba.

A comparison: Proverbs 11:22As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
The Lord talking about rebellious people: Isaiah 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; Isaiah 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. Isaiah 66:17They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
Part of the sermon on the mount; this verse appears that the Lord Jesus is giving a lesson on how to witness, share God’s word. Not everyone will accept or receive it. Matthew 7:6Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. How to witness.
This story is recorded by Matthew, Mark and Luke. Matthew 8:30-32And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
Mark 5:11-14Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. Mark 5:16And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
Luke 8:32-33And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
The Lord Jesus told the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) and how far he had sunk into Sin. Luke 15:15-16And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
