Marriage … C.S. Lewis Many people have the mistaken idea that if you have married the right person, you may expect to go on “being in love” forever. As a result, when they find they are not, they think this proves they have made a mistake and are entitled to a change, not realizing that when they have changed, the glamour will presently go out of the new love just as it went out of the old one. In this department of life, as in every other, thrills come at the beginning and do not last. Let the thrill go. Let it die away. Go on through that period of death into the quieter interest and happiness that follow and you will find you are living in a world of new thrills all the time.
The best thing you can give you children is a solid marriage with both a father and a mother.
What makes a family: Parents are two separate people who have chosen each other and become ONE by the bonds of Marriage. Families become bonded together when they accept: The Bond of Blood: Tied together by blood, by genetics, by heritage. The Bond of Band Wagoning: No matter what, remember the family is one unit in God’s eyes. The Bond of Benevolence: Always be a loving and forgiving family. Never give up on a family member. Will not always agree with everyone and everything. We will do things differently. When we are hurt by another family member, remember it’s God’s opportunity for us to practice forgiveness. It is very puzzling to see a family member reach out to a stranger with a problem but ignore a family member with the same or similar problem. The Bond of Blessing: Share you faith with your family. How sad it will be to reach Heaven and not have all your family there. And sharing your faith, daily, will strengthen their’
