Time Part 6

TIME TO WITNESS

2 Kings 5, Romans 1:16 We should be willing to tell others what the Lord can do.

A little girl is used to help others.

Naaman was Captain of the Syrian Army. He was one of the Kings best men. He was a really brave man, one of valor. He was also a LEPER.
During a war he brought home a young Israel girl. She was to be a servant for his wife. One day she told Naaman’s wife about a man in Israel who God used to heal people.

She was willing to tell others what the Lord can do.

The wife told Naaman and Naaman told the King.
The King wrote a letter to the King of Israel and Naaman took it along with some gifts. The King of Israel sent Naaman to Elisha’s house.

Elisha sent a servant to tell Naaman to wash in the Jordan 7 times.
Naaman got angry. Why couldn’t Elisha just come out an touch him, surely that would heal him. Why did it have to the dirty Jordan river? There were better (cleaner) rivers in Syria, couldn’t he go to one of them?
His friends tell him what the Lord can do IF you obey.
Naaman finally goes to the Jordan and after dipping 7 times, He is washed clean of his Leprosy.

All this happened because a little girl was not afraid to tell others what her Lord could do.

Do you share your faith? To you tell others about God?

Time Part 7

TIME FOR THE LORD JESUS TO COME AGAIN!

Matthew 24 — God must punish sin.

Jesus had been teaching in the Temple.
As he left he warned his followers the Temple would be destroyed.
Later they came to him and wanted to know when it would happen. And when would he come again.
He told them not to be deceived… He gave them signs to watch for …
Wars and rummers of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes on a world-wide scale … These would be but a beginning. He gave them other signs to watch for,
but the best one is when he said “It will be as in the days of Noah”.

Genesis 6 Tells the story of Noah.

The world was evil- wicked- sinful- nobody had time for God.
They not only did these things, there thoughts were evil continually.
God warned them that He would give them 120 years, but nobody headed His warning. He warned that he would destroy the whole face of the earth.
But nobody listened … Awww! God wouldn’t do that.

But Noah believed God. Noah worshipped God. Noah talked with God
God told Noah what He was going to do and what He wanted Noah to do.
Noah, build an ARK. God gave him the plans.

Noah began to build when he was about 480 years old.
He finished when he was 600 years old.
God told Noah to take all the animals, two by two, his family. His wife, his three sons, Shem, Ham and Japhet and their wives and get into the Ark.
It rained 40 days and 40 nights and they were on the Ark for one whole year.

Yes, God was true to his word. God must punish sin.

What were the days of Noah like before the flood? Just like today.
The people were eating, drinking, marrying, buying and selling. BUT they had forgotten about God They didn’t have time for God. They weren’t putting Him first. They removed Him from all things. JUST LIKE TODAY

Yes, God had to punish the whole world for its sin. AND He will have to do it again.

It’s almost time for the Lord Jesus to return.
First the Rapture, then Tribulation, then 2nd coming.
ARE YOU READY?

Thou Shalt Not Kill

A better translation: Thou shalt not MURDER.

The 6th Commandment
Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.
The Lord Jesus repeated it:
Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
The Apostle Paul repeated it:
Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Just some facts: (note: does not include abortions).
In 2018, the estimated number of murders in the nation was 16,214.
In 2019, there were 16,425 reported cases of murder or non-negligent manslaughter in the United States.
In 2020 over 19,000 people killed in shootings and firearm-related incidents.
What will 2021 bring us with all the rioting?

This is the result of Removing the Bible and God from our schools.

Babbling

Tower of Babble

Genesis 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Genesis 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Defination: the action or fact of talking rapidly and continuously in a foolish, excited, or incomprehensible way.

Proverbs 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
Ecclesiastes 10:11 Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.

The “WISE” men of Paul’s day considered him a babble when he presented them with the way of salvation “Death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus”. But history has proven they were the Babblers.
Acts 17:18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

The Apostle Paul warned Timothy to avoid, shun profane and vain babblings.
1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

And we too should avoid and shun these vain babblings as they come from many pulpits today, as they deny the “Death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus”.

God’s Grace

GOD’S RICHES AT CHRISTS EXPENSE

The Apostle Paul teaching on God’s Grace:
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

How to we take advantage of God’s Grace? How can we be sure we have God’s Grace? The Apostle explains how we obtain God’s Grace:

By believing the Gospel: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And then confessing that the Lord Jesus is God. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Believe in the death – burial – resurrection and confess that He (the Lord Jesus) is God.

In Remembrance of Me -Part 2

Do you remember …. WAIT A MINUTE …… You weren’t there!
All this happened over 1900 years ago.
How could you remember? You hadn’t even been born.

Yes, you remember hearing stories about these things.
You remember a Preacher, Priest or someone preaching about these things.
You remember reading about these things. BUT you weren’t there.

Well, what meanest the Scripture “IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME”?
You truly are not eye witness’s of these events, you would be a fool to proclaim that you were.
So, what meanest the Scripture “IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME”?

Do you have a remembrance of the Lord Jesus?
Have you ever had contact with the Living Son of God?
If you are saved (believed 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, acted upon Romans 10:9) then you have a remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

You are a witness, not in his life and death, BUT in the NEW LIFE He is giving to YOU!

What is there to remember?
You were a sinner! Lost in a world of self-righteousness! Lost, separated from God!

It’s to remember that only by God’s grace, the love of Christ, that you’ve been made acceptable to God.

This is a remembrance you have of Christ, the remembrance you have of the time you believed, were saved, lifted out of the mire of sin, the sea of self-righteousness and placed in the heavenlies, the time when you passed from spiritual death and placed into spiritual life, life eternal, all because of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 22

A very graphic description of the Crucifixion (which did not come into being until the Romans ruled). (read about the crucifixion as recorded in the four Gospels).

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
Words spoken by Christ as He hung on the cross. Mark 15:34
2-6 O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7-8 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. Actions, works and words spoken by those around the cross as Christ was being crucified. Matthew 27:43
9-11 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Sufferings of the Lord Jesus at His trial and crucifixion.
Matthew 27:27-42, Mark 15:16-28
12-17 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
Prophecy-Fulfilled Matthew 27:35, Mark 15:24, John 19:23
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Psalm 16

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. The Apostle Paul write his epistles to the SAINTS at ….
Romans 1:7, 1 Corinthians 1:2, 2 Corinthians 1:1, Ephesians 1:1,
Philippians 1:1, Colossians 1:2
4-9 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
This verse speaks of Christ’s three days in the tomb, where he descended into hades and then rise gain three days later, and His body did not see corruption but was changed to a glorious one. Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.Acts 13:35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. 1 Corinthians 2:9 …things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Psalm 8

Speaks of the coming Kingdom on Earth.

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Peter preaching to Jews Acts 4:12Paul wrote to Romans Romans 14:11
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
This was quoted by Christ in Matthew 21:16
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4-6 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
This was quoted by Paul in Hebrews 2:6-8
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
The Lord Jesus created everything. Ephesians 3:9, Colossians 1:16
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Every knee shall bow to the Lord Jesus. Romans 14:11
