Door

There are several doors mentioned in the Scripture, including:
Door to the Ark
Genesis 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
Passover Door
Exodus 12:7,22-23 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. … And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
Temple Door
1 Kings 6:8 The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.
Narrow Door (Gate)
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Door to the sheep fold
John 10:1-9 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Door of faith
Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
The Apostle Paul speaks of a door:
1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
2 Corinthians 2:12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
Colossians 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
The Lord’s Brother, James warns the Jews:
James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
The Risen and ascended Lord warns the assembles:
Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
The Apostle John called up into heaven to see the future:
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Idols

An image used as an object of worship. A false god. One that is adored.

The best definition of an Idol is found it the Second Commandment:
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
And yet today, how many religions today have images (idols) of things;
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
They have these images in their churches, homes and even in their automobiles. And how many people pray to these idols as mediators to God? Yet Paul writes: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5
And Paul expounds on this Mediator in Hebrews:
Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
When we pray, we pray to God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus.
1 Corinthians 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Not all IDOLS have an Image:
IDOLS INCLUDE:

GRAVEN IMAGE:

  1. An idol or fetish carved in wood or stone.
  2. A carved idol or representation of a god used as an object of worship.
  3. A material effigy that is worshipped.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

LABOR DAY

A federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday of September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States.
Beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation, Labour(s) is mentioned.
Genesis 31:42 … God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
Revelation 14:13 … Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
From Romans to Hebrews Paul mentions Labour 31 times.
Yes, we are to Labour (work) so we can earn a living and help others:
Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
In several epistles Paul commends those who laboured with him.
Philippians 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
Paul reminds Timothy sharing the Gospel is worthy Labour.
1 Timothy 5:17-18 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
God will not forget your Labour.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Again remember what the Apostle wrote in Revelation:
Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Compare Joel 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

Daniel 11 continues with events that are yet to come that will rock the world and be part of the terrifying events just before Jesus Christ’s return.
When considering the many prophetic details of Daniel 11 that were fulfilled as predicted, one can have confidence that the remaining prophecies of this chapter and others in the Bible that are yet to be fulfilled will likewise occur as God has ordained. Through a dream, God revealed to ancient King Nebuchadnezzar that eventually the kingdoms of this world will be replaced by the Kingdom of God, the 1000 year reign of Christ. As Daniel explained to the king: “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever
(Daniel 2:44).

Lord Jesus Christ

MATTHEW: There are 170 references to the name Jesus in Matthew.

From the Birth of the Lord Jesus until he began His ministry at age 30, I am sure many family and friends called him “Jesus”. After all that is the name, the Angels told Joseph and Mary to name him. Matthew 1:21,25. No where does Matthew record anyone directly addressing him just as Jesus. In fact, in
Matthew 8:29 Even the demons said “Jesus, Thou son of God”. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
MARK: There are 93 references to the Name Jesus in Mark. Mark records 2 times that The Lord Jesus was spoken to directly using his name. The man with the unclean spirit Mark 1:24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
And even then, the unclean spirit recognized the Lord’s deity. Then again the wild man in Gadarenes possessed with an unclean spirit Mark 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. And again, the unclean spirit recognized the Lord’s deity.
LUKE: There are 97 references to the Name Jesus. A short version of his early life recorded by Luke: And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
Luke records 2 times the man with the unclean spirit ( see Mark 1:24) and the spirit of an unclean devil cried: Luke 4:34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
And even then, the unclean spirit recognized the Lord’s deity. Also the wild man in Gadarenes possessed with an unclean spirit. Luke 8:28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
And again, the unclean spirit recognized the Lord’s deity.
JOHN: There are 245 references to the Name Jesus. There are 6 references where he is addressed as Jesus. Greeks (gentiles) wanted to see Jesus. John 12:21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
When Judas betrayed Jesus in the garden the Band of men: John 18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. John 18:7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
Pilate, when questioning Jesus. John 18:33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
John 19:9 And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
ACTS: There are 67 references to the Name Jesus.
Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, his Son Jesus, Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus Christ, Saviour Jesus
There are only 3 direct references to Jesus. All three are contained in Paul’s meeting with the Lord on the road to Damascus. In each case it is the Lord identifying himself to Saul (Paul).
Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Paul rehearsing the event.
Acts 22:8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
Acts 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
