The hatred and/or persecution of the Jew. It has continued ever since the call of Abram/Abraham. It can be seen in a study of Scripture and world history. One of the latest was manifested in the 1930’s and early 1940’s in Germany. With this hatred of the Jew comes “The Curse of Anti-Semitism”. This is found in, Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Satan, the Devil has always tried to get rid of the Jew, God’s chosen People.
The Lord Jesus reminded his Jewish followers: Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:9-10Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Luke 21:17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
And the Lord Jesus commented on the state of life before the Flood: Matthew 24:38-39For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Luke 17:27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. And in a parable: Luke 6:48He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. Peter recounts Noah’s Flood: 2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; Symbolic during Tribulation: Revelation 12:15-16And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Remember the promise of God: Genesis 8:21-22 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Yes, there are floods, and they do cause much damage (and perhaps they are warnings and/or judgements from God. BUT the whole earth will never be flooded again. The next punishment world wide will be FIRE. 2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Are YOU ready?
Secrets of Peace Peace: Freedom from war or strife, public quiet, order, security calm, stillness….
David was in much distress, but in this Psalm, he gives the answers to SECRETS OF PEACE. Vs 1 All of us yearn to have God’s ear. O GOD, Hear Me. Vs 2 David speaks for God. He tells us why God doesn’t hear us. (Notice two questions from God). Glory to Shame … Romans 1:21-32 Love Vanity … Ephesians 4:17, 2 Peter 2:18, Romans 8:20 Vs 3 Reason God does hear. Vs 4-5 Instructions to believers: Stand in awe (allow God to be God) Sin not (seek to do His will) Commune with your own heart (meditate and read Scripture) Upon your Bed (Spend time in prayer) Be still (listen to hear from God) Offer sacrifices of righteousness (always put God first) Put your trust in the Lord (Believe the Lord will take care of it) Vs 6 Scoffers … always question God (deny Him) The believers answer …. God show them! Vs 7 God fulfills better than the world. Vs 8 Here’s Perfect Peace. It comes from God: John 14:1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: And in each of his epistles Paul keeps reminding of where Peace comes from.And he tells how to practice Peace: Philippians 4:5-7Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Remember what David wrote: Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Clouds will play a big part in the future: Revelation 1:7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Revelation 14:14-16 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. Clouds, in summary: It would appear that clouds did not exist prior to Noah’s Flood. The earth was protected (from outer space, meteors, rays, etc.) by a water canape. There was no need for clouds. When the flood occurred and this canape was dumped on the earth, clouds were created by God. As recorded in scripture, God has used the clouds for many purposes: Curses, Punishments, Blessings and as Signs.
Matthew 17:5While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Mark 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Luke 9:34-35 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. The Lord Jesus on His second coming: Matthew 24:30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 26:64Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Luke 21:27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. The Lord Jesus used the weather while teaching: Luke 12:54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. The Lord Jesus ascends to Heaven: Acts 1:9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Paul recalls Israel fleeing Egypt: 1 Corinthians 10:1-2Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; Paul teaching about the rapture: 1 Thessalonians 4:17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Cloud represents multitude of People: Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Peter and Jude giving warnings about false teachers: 2 Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Woe unto us! for we are spoiled. And in Lamenations: Lamentations 2:1 How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger! Lamentations 3:44Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through. Ezekiel also warns Israel: Ezekiel 1:4, 1:28. 8:11, 10:3-4, 30:3,18, 32:7, 34:12, 38:9,16, Daniel sees into the future: Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Israel needs to return to the Lord: Hosea 6:4O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. Hosea 13:3Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney. The day of the Lord is coming: Joel 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. Zephaniah 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, Zechariah 10:1Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
Genesis 1-3 informs us that God, the Lord Jesus Christ created everything. This includes INSECTS-BUGS (which are animals). Then in His Holy Scriptures He names several of them while teaching a spiritual lesson. In the list below are some of these:
