Time – One Year

Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

52 weeks … 365.4 days … 8760 hours … 525,600 minutes … 31,536000 seconds … ONE YEAR!
Time is a gift from God!

Although God is NOT time orientated, His Word has much to say about TIME.
Some yea ago a great scientist made a very important discovery, relating to the universe and its beginning and structure. He stated that there are five basic conditions of the physical universe and these had to be in order to have an existing universe:
TIME FORCE MOTION SPACE MATTER
This was a tremendous discovery. An important basic truth, hailed as a great step forward in man’s knowledge and understanding of where he came from and where he was going.
At first it seemed like a great blow to Bible believers … What about God? Didn’t He just create it all? Didn’t He know about the five basic principles? If He did, why didn’t He tell us about them?

Psalm 150

Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The Apostle Paul reminds all believers…
ROMANS 15:10-11 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

In Remembrance Part 2

How could you remember? YOU weren’t there!
This happened over 1900 years ago!

Sure, you remember reading about these things.
You remember hearing stories in Sunday School.
You remember a Preacher preaching about these things.
But you were not there, how could you remember them?

Then what meanest the Scripture, ”IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME”?
We did not witness these events. We would be fools to proclaim that we were!
So, what meanest the Scripture, ”IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME”?
Do you have a remembrance of the Lord Jesus?
Have you ever had any contact with the living Son of God?

If you’ve been Saved, Born again, Born spiritually, YOU HAVE A REMBERANCE.

Your REMBERANCE is not in His life, death and resurrection, BUT in the LIFE He has given you!

What is there to remember? You were a sinner! Lost in a world of self-righteousness!
You were lost … Separated for God! Headed for an eternity in Hell!

It’s to remember that only by God’s grace, the love of Christ, that you’ve been saved!
This is the remembrance we have of Christ …
The remembrance of the year, the month, the day, the time that the Lord Jesus saved you out of the mire of sin, the sea of self-righteousness. The time you passed from death unto Life eternal.

As you partake do this IN REMEMBERANCE OF ME.

God’s Christmas Gift

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us (Jews) a child is born…
When man fell God promised a redeemer(Genesis 3).
Adam and Eve understood he was to be born of a woman
(Eve thought it would be her son)
The Hebrew word for Child used here is Male
Not an angel, not a spirit, but flesh, blood and bone.
A CHILD IS BORN
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Answers all the questions, How, Why, When, What, Who:
HOW— the Lord Himself
WHY —for a sign
WHEN –the virgin shall conceive
WHAT –a son (will be born)
WHO —His name Immanuel (God with us)
Where did all this happen?
Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Isaiah 9:6unto us (Jews and the world) a son is given: …
He’s the Son of Man …
born after the likeness of man who was created in the image of God.
He’s the Son of God John 3:16
Consider the word GIVEN.
God gave unto us (and for us) HIS SON.
1 John 4:9-10 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
This is what Christmas is all about — Not what we give to each other, BUT what God gave to us, HIS SON. All we have to do is believe.

Thought: How foolish is a person who just admires all the decorations but doesn’t open his gifts.

Time – A Radio Message

This was a series of 5-minute radio Messages delivered a long time ago, but still applies for today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR …
Today the new year has already begun, in fact it’s the 3rd day and there are only 362 ½ days left … 8,703 hours … 522,180 minutes … 31,330,800 seconds ….
TIME SURE DOES FLY!
How much TIME do you give to God?
1 hour a week only comes to 52 hours a year, that’s only 2.1 days a year.
3 hours a week, only 6 1/3 days a year.
4 hours a week, only 8 ½ days a year.
How much TIME do you give to God?
We can’t say that WE’LL GIVE TOMORROW TO God, because tomorrow never comes, yesterday is past. All we have is TODAY.
Let me share some thoughts of how we can use TODAY.
TODAY IS HERE 2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
How much TIME do you give to God?

Why Christ Came

Psalm 40:7-9 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
TO FULFILL THE WORD
Matthew 1:22-23 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS
Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
TO GIVE LIFE
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
SAVE THE LOST
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
TO MINISTER AND DIE FOR ALL
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
HE CAME TO THE JEW BUT THEY REJECTED HIM
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
A LGHT FOR THE GENTILES
Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
TO RELEASE THE CAPTIVES (that were in Paradise)
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
TO TASTE DEATH FOR EVERYONE
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
TO DESTROY DEATH AND THE DEVIL’S POWER
Hebrews 2:14-16 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
TO REVEAL GOD
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
TO REMOVE CONDEMNATION FROM ALL WHO WOULD BELIEVE
John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
HE CAME ONCE SO HE COULD AGAIN TO RULE THE EARTH
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
THAT HE COULD BRING BELIEVERS TO GOD
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Did He fulfill His purpose for coming?
YES, certainly He did His work in FULL.
Has His purpose been fulfilled in your life?

The Ark of Safety

Genesis 6

The ARK was God’s plan
Genesis 6:1-4 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Peter writes about this:
1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly
The ARK was available for all when death threatened
Genesis 6:5-7 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
The ARK was a God appointed refuge
Genesis 6:13-14 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress[a] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Escape

John the Baptist questioned them:
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
The Lord Jesus had harsh words for the RELIGIOUS Leaders of His Day:
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Again He warned others:
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Then Paul warns of coming judgement:
Romans 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
To believing Jews he wrote:
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
To believing Jews Peter wrote:
2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
Paul mentioned the Great salvation:
Romans 1:16-19 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Philippians 5:6-10 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Wife

Have you ever thought what a wife is worth in Dollars and Cents?

Proverbs 31:10-31 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

The chart, “What’s a stay-at-home Mom worth?”, gives a general Dollar and Cents value. But the Scripture puts a higher value, “her price is far above rubies”. It then lists all that she is valued for. Yes, a good wife cannot be equaled.
Men, practice these:
You are the HEAD, but she is the neck that turn’s the head.
She is the hand that does the work, YOU are the glove that protects the hand.
Happy Wife Happy Life.
her price is far above rubies
