Three Wars

1st War from the South (of Israel):
Note: This is the lands of EGYPT, SYRIA, IRAQ, JORDAN, and LEBANON

Obadiah 1:15,18-19 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it. And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.

Isaiah 17:1,3-4, 12-14 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

Joel 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

Ezekiel 29:9-12 And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it. Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia. No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

Zephaniah 1:14, 2:8-9 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border. Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

Isaiah 34:5,9-10 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

Three Wars – Part 2

2nd war from the North (of Israel): Ezekiel 36,38,39
Note: This is the lands of Russia and her allies
Gog (title of a man) Magog (Land of Russia)

Ezekiel 38:1-3 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

Ezekiel 38:5-7,8-10,15-16,18-19,21-23 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel 39:2,4,7 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

Peace treaty with “the prince” (Antichrist), for 0ne week (7 years)

Daniel 9:26-27 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Matthew 24:15-16 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Matthew 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

3.5 years of Peace (midst of the week)
Temple Rebuilt (must be rebuilt for this to happen)

3rd war, Armageddon (Return of Christ Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7)
Note: This is the lands of China and her allies

Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
Zechariah 12:9-11, 14:1-2,12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Revelation 9:15-16, 16:12-16 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

1000 years of peace with Prince of peace as KING

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Three Wars – Part 4

Final Satanic Battle Gog (title of a man) Magog (Land of Russia)

Revelation 20:7-9 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Great White Throne Judgement

Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

End of the World

We are going to blow up the earth (the atom bomb scare, and now the nuclear bomb). We are all going to freeze to death, the Ice age is coming (remember this from the 80’s?) Or this: We are going to over populate the world and all starve to death. And then we are all going to die because of global warming. Of course this is not new, even the disciples of the Lord asked (Matthew 24:3) …Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mankind is still running around predicting the end of this world. When will they believe the Bible? Continue to read Matthew 24 (and Mark 13) to see the answer the Lord Jesus gave them.
To summarize, He said “… Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name …”.
Now there will be an end to this earth. 1 Peter 3 tells of the end. Verse 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
However before this happens, a study of eschatology (end times) reveals that there will be a period of 7 years (called Tribulation [which will feel like the end]) and then a 1000 year period of peace where the Lord Jesus will rule the earth, as King, from Jerusalem.

Not for at least 1007 years from today.

After the Resurrection

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the ...

Matthew records a strange event, and the other three gospel writers never mentioned nor is it anywhere else.
Matthew 27 reports on the trial of Jesus before Pilate, the death of Judas, Pilate saying Barabbas, or Jesus?, turning Jesus over to the soldiers for crucifixion, the events on the cross, his death, the earth quake and then:
Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Matthew 27 then continues with his removal from the cross, laid in the tomb, a guard assigned to watch and sealing of the tomb.
Reread Matthew 27:52-53 again. Notice when these bodies appeared.
And came out of the graves after his resurrection”. These would have been raised with the same body that the resurrected Lord had. A body of flesh and bone, 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. So, if they won’t face death again, what became of them? Since Jesus was carried into heaven on the first day of resurrection (Luke 24:50-51, Mark 16:19) he may have taken them with him, or he could have taken them with him on the 40th day Acts 1:9. The scripture does not say! But a study of “First Fruits” assures us He did take them to Heaven to be with Him.

Another question, “Who were they”? Some have suggested they were old testament saints. Reread Matthew 27:52-53 again: “went into the holy city, and appeared unto many”. This was not done in secret. They would have had to be known in the city for this to be a miracle, recognized by the Jews.

Forty Days after the Resurrection – Part 2

Eight days later, with Thomas present, the Lord appeared again John 20:26
and Thomas believed John 20:27-29
John 21 Records another appearance of the risen Lord conversing and eating with his disciples
Twice, John writes “And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His DisciplesJohn 20:26 and John 21:25And there are also many other things which Jesus did,”

Acts 1:2-3 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Later Jesus met the eleven at an appointed mountain and gave them their instructions. Matthew 28:16-20,
Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
The Apostle Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 15:5-6 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
To summarize:
⇒ Not recognized until he revealed himself
⇒ Had a physical, flesh and bone, body
⇒ Had the wounds he received on the cross
⇒ Ate with them
⇒ Passed thru walls
⇒ Preformed many signs
⇒ Had access to heaven
⇒ Seen of over 500 people
⇒ Ascended to heaven in a physical body
The above answers the question Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
And he answered them with “THOU FOOL!” And goes on to describe the process and new body.
What will we be able to do when we are raised from the dead and given new bodies? It would appear, the same things Lord Jesus did in his resurrected body. After all, there is an eternity prepared for all believers.

Dreams and Visions – Part 2

Dream Interpretation: Cartoon

Everybody has them. Visions, Hebrews 1:1-2, no more!
Why do we have dreams? Studies have shown the brain does not sleep but is very active while the body sleeps. There are various stages of sleep and while in the deepest state, the brain is very active. The brain is like a huge computer and while the body is awake it gathers information from our senses: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch. This data is stored in the frontal lobe of the brain. As the body drifts off into sleep, the brain starts to process this data, moving and labeling it to different parts of the brain, just as a computer does. All this occurs while in deep sleep. If the body is disturbed during this process and move to a lighter sleep state a dream occurs and is put back into the frontal lobe. This may or may not be recalled when the body is fully awake. This is why dreams may be remembered. The question arises “Why do I have weird dreams?” Remember what the brain has experienced during the day: Movies, TV, Radio, Books read, food eaten etc. Also remember this data is being merged with all of life’s past experiences. Disturbed from deep sleep at the wrong time could produce some really bad dreams.
The brain never forgets. Consider what the scripture says:

The Lord Jesus:
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

The Apostle Paul:
Romans 14:10-12 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

And the Apostle Peter writing to believing Jews:
1 Peter 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

The brain never forgets.

God’s Will

Thy Will Be Done – Seekers Chapel

Most all believers want to know the will of God for their lives. What should I do? Where can I go or not go? Who should I date? Marry? The questions are endless. There have been many books written on this subject. BUT the only book that really matters is the BIBLE.

The Lord Jesus said it first. Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
The Apostle Paul warns: Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
And preaching to Israel reminds them of God’s will, even in death:
Acts 13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

Listed are verses stating the WILL OF GOD. Understanding them will aid in knowing God’s will for you.
Romans 1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 15:32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and …
1 Corinthians 1:1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God,
2 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints …
2 Corinthians 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God, and our Father:
Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God,from the heart;
Colossians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus
Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God, in Christ Jesus concerning you.
2 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

The Apostle Peter writing to his fellow Jewish believers about the will of God:
1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
1 Peter 4:2-3 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

And finally the Apostle John writes:
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
