What is an ARK?
The word “Ark” appears many times in the Bible (KJV: 230 times).
The term “Ark” holds significant meaning within the biblical context, symbolizing salvation, protection, and divine presence. Throughout scripture, the concept of the Ark is pivotal in various narratives, reflecting God’s covenant with humanity and His guidance through trials.
An Ark in the Bible refers to a container or chest, most notably the Ark of the Covenant, which was a sacred object that held the Tablets of the Law (the Ten Commandments) and symbolized God’s presence among the Israelites. Another well-known ark is Noah’s Ark, which was a large object built to save Noah, his family, and pairs of animals from the flood. And the Ark that baby Moses was placed in to float in the river.
