Many young believers have asked “How can I know God’s will for my life?”
The answer is “Study God’s word”. Below are 8 questions you should ask yourself before doing anything you are unsure of:
- Is it forbidden in God’s Word?
1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. - Can I glorify God in doing it?
1 Cor 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. - Is it of the World?
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. - Is it harmful to my body?
1 Cor 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. - Can I still be an example?
1 Pet 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: - Will I be a stumbling block?
Rom 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. - Do I have doubt about doing it?
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. - Would I want to be doing it when Christ comes?
1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
