CREATE
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
CREATED
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 2:3-4And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, Deuteronomy 4:32For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Psalm 148:5Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. Isaiah 42:5Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: Isaiah 45:12I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Ezekiel 28:15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Mark 13:19For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. 1 Corinthians 11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Israel under the leadership of Moses has left Egypt. They are on their way to the promised land. The land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And the way they should go is through the land of the Philistines. However, this would have meant war and would have discouraged the Israelites who would have returned to Egypt. So, God intervened. Proverbs 14:12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Man, since the beginning has thought of himself as better than everything else, that his way was the right way. But the writer in proverbs has stated it best: Proverbs 14:12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Not only once but twice. A study of each of these occurrences will show as man was going his way, which would lead unto death, God intervened to put man back on the right tract, a way which would not lead to death. Yes, God has a purpose for mankind, a purpose which will lead to a better life here and an eternal life hereafter (if we will have faith in Him). And yes, God has a purpose for not only mankind but for each and every individual who will have Faith in Him.
In studying the BUT GOD’s found in the New Testament, the next mentions are in:
Mark 2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? Luke 5:21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Luke 12:20But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? In this parable, the Lord Jesus teaches them GOD is in control. Man, since the beginning has thought of himself as better than everything else, that his way was the right way. But the writer in proverbs has stated it best:
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Not only once but twice. Through out the holy scripture man has sought to go his own way, which always leads to destruction and death. BUT GOD has intervened which leads to an interesting Bible Study. “BUT GOD”. Reading the whole chapter gives an understanding of why God spoke to Abimelech in a dream. He wanted to add Sarah (Abraham’s wife) to his Harem which would have interfered in what God had in store for Abraham. Abimelech had a plan which seemeth right unto him BUT GOD intervened to save Abraham and Sarah.
⇛ BUT GOD – Jacob
The Second mention is in Genesis 31:7 And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me The background to this BUT GOD starts back in Genesis 28 when Isaac tells Jacob to go to his mother’s family to seek a wife. There Jacob meets Rachel, the love of his life. But Laban (her father) tricks Jacob many times and might have caused even greater harm to Jacob, BUT GOD intervened.
⇛ BUT GOD – Joseph
The next mention(s) is in: Genesis 45:8So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. This is the story of Joseph. Satan, the devil, tried to destroy this young man, BUT GOD intervened. His life story begins in Genesis 30 and ends in Genesis 50, and is a very good story of how God watched over him. Now we only want to see the BUT GOD direct interventions.
Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers at 17, has spent time in prison, and then risen to be second in command in Egypt (please read to whole story). Now his brothers have come to Egypt seeking Food (not knowing Joseph was alive). He reveals himself to them and of course guild for their actions over take them. John 3:16-18For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 12:28Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. Matthew 17:5While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

OMNIPOTENT – All Power John 1:12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Philippians 3:20-21For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Hebrews 1:8-10But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Revelation 1:11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Revelation 1:17-18And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. The final Judgement of SIN (rebellion against God). It comes at the end of the 1000-year reign of Christ Jesus on earth. Read Revelation 20-21.
Old testament Saints (Those who believed in God by Faith) will not be there as they went to heaven with Christ at his resurrection (Ephesians 4:8-10 Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)).
Believers who have died since the resurrection are also in Heaven (2Corinthians 5:8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.) and won’t be there. And we who are alive when the rapture occurs (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord Wherefore comfort one another with these words.) also won’t be Judged at the Great White Throne.
Then who will be judged at the Great White Thone? According to Revelation 20, all the unbelievers, unsaved, all those who have rebelled since Satan fell from heaven (Isaiah 14:12-15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.).
The Devil (having been freed from the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:3,7 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,) will be cast alive into the LAKE OF FIRE where the beast and false prophet are. (Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.)
All unbelievers (alive and those in Hell (who will be brought up) Revelation 20:12-13 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.) will be brought before the Great White Throne and Judged – GUILTY. They along with DEATH and HELL will be cast into the LAKE OF FIRE. (Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.)
Again, NO BELIEVER (those who expressed faith in God through
Christ Jesus) will not be Judged at the Great White Throne.
Believers judgment was at the Judgement (Bema) seat of
Christ:
2 Corinthians 5:10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Romans 14:11-12For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
I Corinthians 3:11-15For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Believers never need fear the Great White Throne Judgement.
If Believers are at the Great White Throne it
will be “To execute vengeance upon
the heathen, and punishments upon the people;”.
1-2 ETERNITY OF GOD God is the Creator – vs 2 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16 3-6 FRAILITY OF MAN Man’s life is short … Carried away as with a flood… vs 5 …because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. James 1:10-11 7-8 MAN’S SIN Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. – Vs 8 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:10-12 9-12 SHORTNESS OF LIFE The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. – vs 10 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:11-12 13-17 PRAYER FOR GOD’S GRACE. A Prayer for every Believer And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. … Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.Revelation 22:12,13,20
