The Jewish writes in the new Testament:
Luke 1:72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers,…
Acts 7:8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac
The Apostle Paul comments on the Covenant:
Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Galatians 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Also writing to the Hebrews refers to their covenant 12 times,
(Hebrews 8:6-10,13, 9:1,4, 10:16,29, 12:24) concludes with:
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Many today speak of this new covenant and apply it to the Church (Believers) But reread the verse again:
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
His New Covenant takes affect after the end of the Tribulation and will last 1000 years when the Lord Jesus assumes His Throne on earth.
