Mother of King Ahaziah 2 Kings 8:26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.
Was the daughter of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel of Israel, the queen consort of Judah as the wife of King Jehoram, a descendant of King David, and later queen regnant.
Her story is in 2 Kings 11:1, 20 also 1 Chronicles 8:26, 2 Chronicles 22:2, 2 Chronicles 23:10-13, 2 Chronicles 23:21, Ezra 8:7.
And the text that defines her: 2 Chronicles 24:7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim.
