Holy or Unholy

To be holy means to be set apart or separate from sin and evil.

1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Titus 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 11:44-45 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

Peter writes to believing Jews:
1 Peter 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Definition of unholy.
1 showing disregard for what is holy : wicked.
2 deserving of censure an unholy alliance.
3 very unpleasant : god-awful an unholy mess.

1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
