Semiramis

NIMROD’S Wife

Although not named in scripture, Eusebius—a well-respected ancient biblical scholar and historian—identifies Semiramis as the wife of Nimrod.

Semiramis was instrumental in Nimrod’s plan to rebel against God

Nimrod and Semiramis created a polytheistic religious system focused on the stars to lure God’s chosen people away from true worship.

After the death of Nimrod, she claimed that Nimrod was a god and that her newborn son was Nimrod, reincarnate. “So began the worship of Semiramis and the child-god, and the whole paraphernalia of the Babylonian religious system.”

Devotion to Semiramis has been well documented throughout history.

Dragons

“Dragons are among the most popular and enduring of the world’s mythological creatures. Dragon tales are known in many cultures, from the Americas to Europe, and from India to China. They have a long and rich history in many forms and continue to populate our books, films and television shows. It’s not clear when or where stories of dragons first emerged, but the huge, flying serpents were described at least as early as the age of the ancient Greeks and Sumerians. For much of history dragons were thought of as being like any other mythical animal: sometimes useful and protective, other times harmful and dangerous.”
This is what the world believes and says. They acknowledge there are stories/drawings worldwide of dragons but calls them a myth. The Bible records Dragons in the Old Testament. Are these all wrong. What would they have called a dinosaur prior to the word being coined in 1842? (Over two hundred years before the Bible was printed). These same people say the Flood never happened or at least it was not worldwide.

Cassius Dio (c. 155 – c. 235) was a Roman statesman and historian of Greek and Roman origin. He published 80 volumes of history on ancient Rome, beginning with the arrival of Aeneas in Italy.
One of his writings records the encounter of the Roman General Marcus Atilius Regulus and his troops battling a Dragon. Other Roman writers recorded events involving Dragons. Of course, they are all denounced and called myths.

Remember, the Holy Scriptures are the Word of God.

His name appears 17 times in 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles.

2 Samuel 15:12,31,34 16:15,20-21,23 17:1,6-7,14-15,21,23 23:34
1 Chronicles 27:33-34

To summarize his story:
Ahithophel was King David’s counsellor. While serving David, David sinned. A quick summary of his sin.
He should have gone off to war.
He should not have watched his neighbor’s wife bathe.
He should not have summoned her to his residence.
He should not have had an adulterous affair with her
When she was found with child David called her husband back from the war.
When David’s plan failed, He ordered him back to battle with instructions for him to be left at the front and killed. David brought Bathsheba to the castle to be one of his wives. A child was born but later died. David was called out by Nathan and repented. Meanwhile, Absalom, one of David’s sons, gathered together an army and chased David from the castle. Ahithophel became Absalom’s counsellor and wanted to take men and go kill David. When Absalom said no, Ahithophel returned to his home and hanged himself.

WHY?
David had destroyed his family. He was the grandfather of Bathsheba.
