Isaiah 28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
It is not certain precisely where the wilderness of Paran is to be located. It is often associated with Mount Sinai in Egypt, and there is some evidence that it may originally have referred to the southern portion of the Sinai Peninsula.
Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

Gilead was a fertile, mountainous area east of the Jordan River. The name Gilead means “rocky region” or “hill country.” One in the mountain range was named Gilead.
Jacob had an association with mount Gilead, before he was named Israel. Genesis 31:21So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead. Genesis 31:23And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days’ journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead. Genesis 31:25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
