1 Corinthians 12:12-27 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. …
Paul mentions the BODY 15 times in the above text! What is the Body?
1 Corinthians 12:27 explains “Now ye are the bodyof Christ,…” Romans 7:4“…ye also are become dead to the law by the bodyofChrist;” Romans 12:5“So we, being many, are one body in Christ,…” 1 Corinthians 10:16“…is it not the communion of the bodyofChrist?” Ephesians 3:6“That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body” Ephesians 4:12“…for the edifying of the bodyofChrist:” Ephesians 5:23“…Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” Colossians 2:17“…Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is ofChrist.”
A study of the above verses (and putting them back into their context) show that believers (Romans 10:9-13) are placed into a group, called the BODY OF CHRIST, the true Church.
Nowhere else in scripture is the BODY of Christ, the Church, mentioned. Not in the Old Testament. Not in the four Gospels. Not in Hebrews, James, John, Jude, Peter or Revelation.
Only in the Epistles written by Paul, to the Churches that he founded, is the Body of Christ mentioned.

Importance of Blood Hebrews 9:11-14 375 times in Bible, 282 times Old Testament (1 Hebrews word), 93 times New Testament (3 Greek words) ( New Testament once, Shedding of Blood Hebrews 9:22, once Diseased BloodMatthew 9:20, 91 times Blood) Our Blood is very important Leviticus 17:11,14 Deuteronomy 12:22 Hebrews 9:22 How important? Cut off end of my finger and I will bleed to Death. Blood tells it all: a visit to doctor every 3 months to have blood read. Transfusions are very, very important. Without blood YOU ARE DEAD! Not only is life found in the Blood BUT so is SIN. Blood important in Old Testament: Genesis 3:21 1st Shedding of blood (animal Sacrifice) Genesis 4:4 Blood Sacrifices continue Genesis 8:20 after the flood Genesis 12:7 Abram built an alter and so on till Moses. Blood Sacrifices very important. PASSOVER Exodus 12 an ordinance forever. Blood sacrifices continued until 70 AD Blood is mentioned 28 times in Hebrews chapter 9: 7, 12-14, 18-22, 25 Science teaches that Blood is passed to the child from the father NOT the mother. Even though the child resides in the mother she does not pass her blood to the child. Adam Sinned (He walked into it eyes opened. Eve transgressed because she was beguiled. 1 Timothy 2:14) Romans 5:12 Sin entered, caused death, death passed to all (sin is in the blood) Genesis 3:1-7 We are all of one blood I Corinthians 17:26 Sin passes from father to child This is WHY Jesus HAD to be born of a virgin. Blood came from Holy Spirit NOT Joseph. Luke 1:27-35 Matthew 1:16-17 Joseph the legal father Because HIS blood is pure (and stayed pure) (3 years ministry proved he was without spot or blemish). He is able to shed His blood for every sinner who believe in His death, burial and resurrection. Hebrews 9:11 His blood (not animal blood) obtains eternal, life for us. Jesus rose from the dead with a glorified body (Flesh and bone – NO Blood) Luke 24:39 Side issue: It is claimed the Ark of the Covenant is buried in a cave in the hill of Golgotha. And that when Jesus was crucified and His blood drained from his body and down the cross into the dirt that it leaked into this cave unto the Ark. (Priest sprinkled blood of sacrifices onto the Ark in the Temple, Holy of Holy Hebrews 9:1-7) fromArcheologist Ron Wyatt 1/6/82 (died August 4, 1999) We will have bodieslike His (Flesh and Bone) with no blood !! 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 1 John 3:2 It’s one of the four commands (rules) for gentiles to EAT NO BLOOD (Acts 15:20,29; 21:25) Paulmentions the blood 13 times from Romans to Colossians: Romans 3:25 a propitiation through faith in his blood Romans 5:9 justified by his blood 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:25,27 Communion Ephesians 1:7redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins Colossians 1:14redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins Colossians 1:20 peace through the blood of his cross Even in the last days:Revelation 1:5, 5:9, 6:10,12,7:14, 8:7-8,11:6, 12:11, 14:20, 16:3-4,6,17:6, 19:2,13 (17 times) CHRISTIANS today don’t like to hear about the BLOOD – BUT only thru it do we have Salvation!
There are those who want to remove the blood from scripture and song. They say it makes Christianity a gory religion and just the fact that Jesus died for us is enough. But what saith the scripture? Let’s start with the words of Jesus: Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Luke 22:20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. To summarize what Jesus said about HIS BLOOD: remission of sins, shed for many, shed for you, hath eternal life, dwelleth in me (Christ). Looks like Jesus taught HIS BLOOD was important. The Apostle Paul wrote much of the blood of Christ: Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, … Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 1 Corinthians 10:16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, … Ephesians 1:7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Colossians 1:14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Ephesians 2:13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Colossians 1:20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, … And to Jewish believer’s Paul wrote: Hebrews 9:12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from … Hebrews 9:22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 10:19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 13:12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. At Ephesus, Paul reminded the church elders: Acts 20:28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. And Peter, to his fellow Jews wrote: 1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, … But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: John also wrote of the importance of the blood: 1 John 1:7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Revelation 7:14… These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
As the hymn writer penned: “What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus”
