Ephesians 6:20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
This is true of all those who accept the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, know Him to be God. At death, believers are acceptable in the heavenlies but we are left here on earth to be Ambassadors.
1. To share the Faith with our family, friends and even our foes.
2. To see others become believers.
3. To live a life that honors our God.
And we will be rewarded (1 Corinthians 3:11-16) for our efforts.
2 Corinthians 5:20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
In his letters to the churches he addresses them as SAINTS.

Where did it come from? From Adam! Romans 5:14, 1 Timothy 2:13,14 And it’s passed on from Adam through the father. Everyone who is born of Adam has it inborn in them, the old sin nature. Now stop and think; there’s only one person born of a woman who hasn’t had the Old Sin Nature, and that’s the Lord Jesus Christ. The OSN is passed through the blood from the father. Jesus Christ, virgin born, also got his blood from HIS Father; God. How do we get rid of it? We don’t! We are born with it and we die with it. But God provides a way Romans 7:24-25O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. Can we Control it? Let’s review: All of us have the OSN. It is not removed, eradicated or controlled by any operation including the new birth (salvation). One second after salvation, born into God’s family, you have the indwelling of the Holly Spirit, which you cannot feel or see but whose manifestations are there, and you still have OSN, which you cannot feel or see but the manifestations are there.
Here’s where the saved person loses out on his or her salvation. NOT loses his or her salvation, but the joy of it. Remember, Christ died to defeat Satan, to defeat his control over us through our OSN Ephesians 2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:. As we yield to our OSN we live defeated lives, no better than the unsaved in this life. 1 Corinthians 3:11-15For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
The Christian lifemust operate based on the Holy Spirit controlling the OSN, not the OSN controlling the flesh. When a believer is under the control of the OSN the Bible has a name for them, a carnal Christian. 1 Corinthians 3:3 What is a Carnal Christian? Carnal, an old English word (over 350 years old), means fleshly. As a carnal Christian you’re dead to God, out of communication and fellowship. Romans 8:6-8 What’s the solution? As a Christian, we sin. We become carnal. Not a good position to be in. To remain carnal means to get worse, out of fellowship with God (and other believers). The Problem is foundin: Romans 8:5-8For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. The solution is found in: Romans 8:9-11But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
He also refers to the scripture, the Old Testament as Holy. Romans 1:2(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
He calls the apostles and prophets Holy. Ephesians 3:5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
He instructs Believers how to greet each other. Romans 16:16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. 1 Corinthians 16:20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss. 2 Corinthians 13:12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.
He teaches that Believers are Holy. Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 1 Corinthians 7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 1 Corinthians 9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
The apostle Peter, writing to the believing Jews also made much of HOLY. He also refers to the Holy Ghost/Spirit. 1 Peter 1:12Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
And as we see in the above verses Peter speaks of Holy Men. And a quick study of the following verses Peter refers to Holy Believers, priesthood, nation, mount, commandment, prophets and in all holy conversation and godliness. 1 Peter 1:15-16But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 2 Peter 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 2 Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
The apostle John, writing to the believing Jews spoke of the Holy One, Holy Ghost. 1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Jude, half brother of the Lord Jesus, reminds believers of their Holy Faith and the Holy Ghost. Jude 1:20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
And the Apostle John, writer of Revelation, makes much of HOLY: God, Believers, Angels, Apostles, prophets and cities.
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Revelation 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. Revelation 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
We, Believers, are Holy and should live to be HOLY, dedicated and consecrated to God as we serve Him until he comes for us.
A woman joined to a man in marriage; a female spouse.
1 Peter 3:1-6Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 1 Corinthians 7:2-4 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Galatians 4:27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. Ephesians 5:22-24Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Ephesians 6:33Nevertheless let every one of you (Husbands) in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled 1 Corinthians 7:13-14 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 1 Corinthians 7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? 1 Corinthians 7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) – Unique (except to Twins) It belongs to just you! Twins come from the same fertilized egg and share the same genetic blueprint. DNA is like a genetic fingerprint: no one on earth has exactly the same DNA. Even the DNA of identical twins is not completely identical Although each organism’s DNA is unique, all DNA is composed of the same nitrogen-based molecules. Genomes contain all the vital genetic solutions discovered by our ancestors in response to all the environmental challenges that they had successfully overcome since creation. To a standard DNA test, twins are indistinguishable. But any forensics expert will tell you that there is at least one surefire way to tell them apart: identical twins do not have matching fingerprints.
Finger Prints – Unique! They belong to just you! Each person’s fingerprints are unique, which is why they have long been used as a way to identify individuals. Surprisingly little is known about the factors that influence a person’s fingerprint patterns. Like many other complex traits, studies suggest that both genetic and environmental factors play a role. Your fingerprints also stay the same from the time you’re born until death. Their uniqueness and lasting quality make fingerprints one of the best ways to identify a person. Prints from palms, toes and feet are also unique; however, these are used less often for identification, so identification focuses on prints from the fingers and thumbs.
Another thing that makes a person unique is our Body, Soul and Spirit. Spirit – every human is born with a Body, Soul and Spirit. The Body we can see. The Soul is the life of that Body. The Spirit is DEAD (not in communication with God). It’s only when one is saved, born again, does the Spirit come alive (in communication with God) Ephesians 2:1.
Yes, God created YOU a unique person. The purpose is so you can dwell with Him for all eternity! 1 Corinthians 2:9.
