Father(s) is found in Scripture 852 times, 541 times in the Old Testament and 311 times in the New Testament. Many times, it refers to God the Father.
In Ephesians the Apostle Paul mentions the Father. 8 times it refers to God the Father. But 3 times he refers to an earthly father:
Ephesians 5:31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Ephesians 6:2Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
In each case he mentions father he is referring to a Man.
Philippians 2:22But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. 1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1 Timothy 5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
Mother(s) is found 225 times in the Scripture. 148 times in the Old Testament and 87 times in the New Testament. The first time Mother is used is in Genesis 2:24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Her God establishes the FAMILY: a father (male) and a mother (female) and a son. The next reference (Genesis 3:20) is to Eve where Adam says: “because she was the mother of all living.” All the rest of the Old Testament references are to a woman (female) who is a mother.
Many of the references to mother in the Gospels, 63, are about Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus. And all the others are to a female who was a mother.
The Apostle Paul refers to Mother 9 times: (8 times is a woman) Romans 16:13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Ephesians 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 1 Timothy 1:9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1 Timothy 5:2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. 2 Timothy 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Hebrews 7:3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
And once is an allegory: Galatians 4:26But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
God created to sexes (male & Female) they were to reproduce after their kind. Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Child – Children appears in Scripture 1708 times. 1502 times in the Old Testament and 206 times in the new. In the Old Testament it always refers to one produced but a father (male) and a mother (female). Children are of God: Genesis 1:28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. As the Psalmist wrote: Psalm 127:3-4Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
Children (a child) comes about the way God intended, by the union of a man and a woman. Science today can use the sperm (of a male) and the egg (of a female) and a petri dish, but after fertilization the egg has to be put back into a woman to grow. Today when a husband and wife find out they have a child coming, if they don’t like the sex, they abort it. Or after it is born attempt to change its sex. Isn’t God’s way much better. One male, one female and you have a family. After all, there are only two sexes, man (male) and woman (female). Happy is the family that knows this and loves the Lord God.
Family is found 76 times in the Scripture, 75 times in the Old Testament and 1 times in the New Testament, Families is used 164 times in the Old Testament. Most of the time it is simply the plural of family.
Most of the Old Testament references refer not just to a Father and Mother and their children but to their children’s children and sometimes for several generations. i.e. Numbers 26:44-45Of the children of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites. Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites. The Apostle Paul uses family to refer to all the saved. Ephesians 3:15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
We are not saved by how we live but our living influences others. The Apostle Paul gives some guide lines.
Romans 12:1-2I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Colossians 3:5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
2 Timothy 2:16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Four arguments against DIVORCE:
1. In the beginning God created one male and one female. Gen 1:27; 5:2; Mark 10:6 Literal meaning: Male = Piercer Female = Pierced 2. Marriage is the strongest of human bonds. Gen 2:24; Mark 10:7 3. In marriage, two people become one flesh. Gen 2:24; Mark 10:8 4. God joins together these two people. Mark 10:9
Three basic elements of marriage found in Gen 2:24: A public act expressing the intent of the couple. A public act expressing the intent of the couple A permanent bonding of two lives into one life. A physical union consummating the relationship.
Summary: Marriage is God ordained and blessed and is a state recognized domestic institution. Gen 2:23-24; John 2:1-11 Divorce is the legal (state) dissolution, NOT recognized NOR instituted by God

Marriage … C.S. Lewis Many people have the mistaken idea that if you have married the right person, you may expect to go on “being in love” forever. As a result, when they find they are not, they think this proves they have made a mistake and are entitled to a change, not realizing that when they have changed, the glamour will presently go out of the new love just as it went out of the old one. In this department of life, as in every other, thrills come at the beginning and do not last. Let the thrill go. Let it die away. Go on through that period of death into the quieter interest and happiness that follow and you will find you are living in a world of new thrills all the time.
The best thing you can give you children is a solid marriage with both a father and a mother.
What makes a family: Parents are two separate people who have chosen each other and become ONE by the bonds of Marriage. Families become bonded together when they accept: The Bond of Blood: Tied together by blood, by genetics, by heritage. The Bond of Band Wagoning: No matter what, remember the family is one unit in God’s eyes. The Bond of Benevolence: Always be a loving and forgiving family. Never give up on a family member. Will not always agree with everyone and everything. We will do things differently. When we are hurt by another family member, remember it’s God’s opportunity for us to practice forgiveness. It is very puzzling to see a family member reach out to a stranger with a problem but ignore a family member with the same or similar problem. The Bond of Blessing: Share you faith with your family. How sad it will be to reach Heaven and not have all your family there. And sharing your faith, daily, will strengthen their’
