The story of his fall ISAIAH 14:12-15
Lucifer, his name in Heaven. Satan, His name after his fall.

Isaiah 14:12-15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

The Lord Jesus said:
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

The Apostle Paul warned:
Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

The Apostle also spoke of Him:
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
John 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Jephthah

His story is in Judges 11:1-12:7

The Gileadite was a mighty man of valour.
He was the son of a harlot.
Cast out by his family.
Asked to return and deliver them from the Ammonites.
The Lord used him to save them.
A vow involving his daughter, a virgin.
He had only one daughter, no sons.
A judge of Israel ruled 6 years.

Israelites reminded of the Judges the lord sent to deliver them:
1 Samuel 12:11 And the LORD sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side, and ye dwelled safe.

The Apostle Paul mentions Jephthah and his faith:
Hebrews 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

Gideon

His story is in Judges 6:11-8:35

The son of Joash.
When the Israelites were most depressed by the Midianites,
the Angel of the Lord (preincarnate Jesus) appeared unto Gideon.
By faith he trusted the Lord.
Led 300 men to defeat the Midianites.
Had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives.
Judged Israel for forty years in peace.

The Apostle Paul mentions Gedeon (Gideon) and his faith:

Gabriel

Mary Listens to the Angel Gabriel | Nativity Word Art


One of three angels Named in the Scriptures.
His name means “God is my strength” or “God is my strong man”.
Appears 4 times in Scripture. Twice to Daniel.
Once to Zacharias and once to Mary.

Esau

His story is found in Genesis 25:25-36:43

The older of twin boys born to Isaac and Rebekah.
The Hairy Brother (Esau means Hairy).
Favored by his father.
A hunter and a man of the field.
Trader his ‘birthright’ for a bowl of pottage.
Married Judith, a non-Israelite.
Blessing (which he sold) from his father, stolen by Jacob, his twin.
Enraged, he tried to kill Jacob.
The father of the Edomites.
Reconciled with Jacob, and both Buried Isaac, their father.

Enoch

First Enoch is mentioned as a son of Cain Genesis 4:17-18.
Second Enoch is mentioned in Genesis 5:18-24.

A son of Jared.
Father of Methuselah.
He lived on earth 365 years.
He walked with God 300 years.
He never died; God took him.

Luke gives insight to Enoch.
Luke 3:37 Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,
The Apostle Paul gives insight to Enoch.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

His story is recorded in Genesis 4.

The Apostle Paul give more detail:
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

The Apostle John also gives insight:
1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, …

And Jude, a younger brother of the Lord Jesus warns Believers NOT to go the way of Cain.
Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

First Born of Adam and Eve.
Lacked faith – believing God.
Committed the first murder.
His works were evil.

Abel

His story is in Genesis 4.

The Apostle Matthew speaks of Abel’s righteousness:
Matthew 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

The Lord jesus also speaks of Abel’s righteousness:
Luke 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

The Apostle Pau speaks of Abel’s Faith and righteousness:
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

And how the Lord Jesus’ was a better offering than that of Abel.
Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Second Born of Adam and Eve.
Had faith in God, believing what God said.
Victim of the first murder.
His works were honored by God.
