Jews Set Aside

Can a Jew be saved?

The apostle Paul explains that the Israel Nation has been set aside because of their rejection of the Lord Jesus as their Messiah. He came unto his own, and his own received him not (John 1:11). So the Nation was set aside and the door to salvation was opened to Gentiles.

Isaiah 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

The Apostle Paul comments on this in his letters to Rome and Galatians.

Romans 4:9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Romans 11:1-2 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,

Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

But Jews as indiviuals still can be saved. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (Romans 10:12)

All a Jew or Gentile (as an individual) has to do to be saved is found in
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (Death, Burial and resurrection) and explained in Romans 10:9-13. (The Lord Jesus is God).

Witchcraft (3)

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Bewitched – To influence or affect especially injuriously by witchcraft. Paul implies that someone or something has led the Galatians away from a faith born in the Spirit and instead back into a faith “perfected by the flesh”.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

In ancient Greek, pharmakeia = the use of drugs, potions, spells, and/or poisoning, witchcraft, magical potions. Pharmakeia (sorcery) is a form of the Greek root from which we get our English words pharmacy, pharmacist, and pharmaceutical. Pharmakeia (sorcery) fundamentally has to do with drugs or medicine.

Yes, there is witchcraft practiced in the word today. But DRUGS are more rampant, destroying far too many young lives.

Most people know that witchcraft and all associated with it are Evil, Satanic and Not of God.

But Drugs, that’s a different matter. Very few realize Satan is behind them.

Father(s) is found in Scripture 852 times, 541 times in the Old Testament and 311 times in the New Testament. Many times, it refers to God the Father.

In Ephesians the Apostle Paul mentions the Father. 8 times it refers to God the Father. But 3 times he refers to an earthly father:

In each case he mentions father he is referring to a Man.

1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Mother’s day – 2nd Sunday in May

Mother(s) is found 225 times in the Scripture. 148 times in the Old Testament and 87 times in the New Testament. The first time Mother is used is in
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Her God establishes the FAMILY: a father (male) and a mother (female) and a son.
The next reference (Genesis 3:20) is to Eve where Adam says: “because she was the mother of all living.” All the rest of the Old Testament references are to a woman (female) who is a mother.

Many of the references to mother in the Gospels, 63, are about Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus. And all the others are to a female who was a mother.

The Apostle Paul refers to Mother 9 times: (8 times is a woman)
Romans 16:13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Ephesians 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1 Timothy 5:2 The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
2 Timothy 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

And once is an allegory:
Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Children’s day – the second Sunday in June

God created to sexes (male & Female) they were to reproduce after their kind.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Child – Children appears in Scripture 1708 times. 1502 times in the Old Testament and 206 times in the new. In the Old Testament it always refers to one produced but a father (male) and a mother (female).
Children are of God:
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
As the Psalmist wrote:
Psalm 127:3-4 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Children (a child) comes about the way God intended, by the union of a man and a woman. Science today can use the sperm (of a male) and the egg (of a female) and a petri dish, but after fertilization the egg has to be put back into a woman to grow. Today when a husband and wife find out they have a child coming, if they don’t like the sex, they abort it. Or after it is born attempt to change its sex.
Isn’t God’s way much better. One male, one female and you have a family. After all, there are only two sexes, man (male) and woman (female). Happy is the family that knows this and loves the Lord God.

Time Part 2

TIME FOR SALVATION

ACTS 26 The apostle Paul was to appear before King Agrippa,
(he was obeying the Lord – and so should we).
Agrippa was a Jew, the King of Israel under the Romans.
Paul begins by telling Agrippa who Paul was: A Jew, A religious Jew, A pharisee.
He believed in God, but not the Son of God. Not the precious blood of Jesus.
Saul hated Christians. He persecuted them, punished them, even had them put to death. Saul hated them so much that he got a letter from the Chief Pharisee so he could chase them to other cities.

But God loved Saul (and God loves you, even though you are guilty of sin). At midday, on the road to Damascus, a bright light shown (brighter than the Sun) so bright it forced Saul to the ground. And then Saul heard a voice — it was the Lord Jesus, God’s Son! The Lord spoke to Saul, and told him what he wanted him to do. Saul decided to obey the Lord and follow Him. When he made that decision, Saul received eternal life, saved from his sin. Since that day Saul, who would later be called Paul, he has put the Lord Jesus first in his life.

Upon hearing Paul’s testimony, King Agrippa said, “Almost thou hath persuaded me to be a Christian”.
The Bible doesn’t tell us if King Agrippa ever got saved or not. But Paul was found innocent of the charges the Jews had accused him of and he was sent to Rome where he would tell Caesar Austus how to be saved.

How about you?

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
