Of course, before the worldwide flood in Noah’s time, there was NO RAIN. Genesis 7. And then the rain was sent because of SIN, the evil of all mankind Genesis 6:5-6. God put a rainbow in the sky as a promise not to flood the earth again, but would withhold rain. Moses warned the children of Israel Deuteronomy 11:17 And then the LORD’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you. Solomon also warned them, what God could do 1 Kings 8:35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them: 2 Chronicles 6:26When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them; 2 Chronicles 7:13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; During Elijahs time God withheld the rain 1 Kings 17:7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. Isaiah also warned the inhabitants of Jerusalem of Gods word Isaiah 5:6And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. During Jeremiah time Jeremiah 14:4Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads. Zechariah warned of coming events Zechariah 14:17-18And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. It would appear God uses weather to punish SIN. See Weather
2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Therefore refers to the preceding verses. if any man it’s open to all, Jew, Gentile, male, female, to all. be in Christ, one becomes IN CHRIST when we believe Romans 10:9-13 he is a new creature: Not a making over, but a new creation things are passed away; 3 things that are passed away: Condemnation of the LAW is gone! The power of SIN is gone! Old friends, desires will be gone! behold, all things are become new. 7 NEW A new happiness … here in this life A new hope … for the future (Rapture, Heaven) A new reason for living … to serve God and family A new outlook on life … HE (Christ) lives in me A new goal … To please Him A new peace …. Of mind, better thoughts A new priority …. God, others … self Let’s summarize: Our past:Ephesians 2:2-3 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Our present life: Ephesians 2:5-6 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Our future life: Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” (Proverbs 14:27)
This beautiful phrase, “fountain of life,” is used several times in the Old Testament, serving as a metaphor to illuminate a number of important aspects of spiritual faith and experience. Our text stresses “the fear of the LORD” as providing deliverance from death to life, picturing this new life as flowing from a heavenly spring.
A very similar verse is Proverbs 13:14: “The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” Thus, the fear of the Lord is somehow tantamount to “the law of the wise.” Those who are wise will fear the Lord and thus receive living water from “the fountain of life.”
King David penned the wonderful truth of Psalm 36:9: “For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.” “God is light” (1 John 1:5), so “the fountain of life” becomes the source also of all true light, whether physical or spiritual. “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4).
The same word is rendered as “well” in Proverbs 10:11: “The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.” When a believer has received life from the divine fountain, his testimony becomes a fountain of life.
The Lord Himself is the fountain of life in Jeremiah’s prophecy, but the supposed people of God have refused to drink. “For my people . . . have forsaken me the fountain of living waters” (Jeremiah 2:13; 17:13).
Nevertheless, this fountain is still there for all who will come. The Bible’s last promise has to do with this great fountain, which yields “a pure river of water of life, . . . proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. . . . And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:1, 17). Psalm 36:9For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Proverbs 10:11The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 13:14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Jeremiah 2:13For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jeremiah 17:13O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Everyone who believed the Bible also believes in Creation. Man was created by God. Genesis 1:26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Was Eve created the same time as Adam? Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. It doesn’t say how long Adam lived in the Garden, watching the animals pair up and produce offspring but he soon became lonely. Yes, he had conversations with God but he needed a mate. And God knew this. Genesis 2:18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. It appears Eve was created some time later and she was created from parts from Adam. Genesis 2:20-22 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. So, all mankind are descendants of Adam (and Eve) and are guilty of Sin. Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Sin was so rampant that God sent a flood to destroy all. Genesis 6:12-13 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Just how bad was it? Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. So God sent the rain to flood the whole earth and destroy everything he had created: EXCEPT all that were in the Ark. And all the animals who were in the Ark: Genesis 7:13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; Now, these eight people (all descendants of Adam), were sinners but they found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Which brings us to this thought: We are all descendants of Noah. YES, Romans 3:23 still applies to all of us. And we need to believe 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and obey Romans 10:9-13!
YENOM is it Latin or Greek or Hebrew for Money? Money … wealth, medium of exchange for buying and selling Interestingly there are those who believe only civilized man has money and some believe that every tribe that’s ever existed has some form of money. Money is only what we make of it. Here’s a story: The counterfeit $100.00 dollar bill. A hunter came to town and asked his friend George, to keep the $100.00 bill for him. George decided to pay off a debt with the bill, hoping to repay it before his friend returned. The bill passed thru 12 different parties before returning to George. When the Hunter returned George gave it back to him, He promptly tore it up and laughed. He then explained it was a counterfeit and a joke. MONEY is only valuable because we want it to be. We believe that our money is valuable because there’s Gold to back it up. Even if that were true, and it’s not. What value is money in a depression or a famine? In Genesis 37, Joseph’s family had money, but would have starved if God had not provided for them. What good is Money? The Lord Jesus said Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? What is your most valuable possession? Some material thing? Some member of your family? Let me suggest … your SOUL. Proverbs 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Yes, we do need to provide for our families: 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. Yes, we do need an income and should work to provide. 2 Thessalians 3:12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. The story of a man, saved and living for the Lord. He knew he was called to preach, but his savings were small. He decided to set a goal of saving $10,000 before he entered the ministry. When that sum was reached, it didn’t look like enough so he decided $25.000 was his new goal. And on and on and each goal reached pushed the Lord further out of his life. Finally, he reached $1,000,000 and God was completely out of the picture. THEN financial reverses set in and he lost it all. If only he had obeyed the Lord. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Remember: Money is not wrong, it’s how we use it. O, yes YENOM is just MONEY spelled backwards. For more SEE Money and Wealth and Gems and Jewels
These promises are to those who believe the gospel: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third dayaccording to the scriptures: And act upon that belief: Romans 10:9-13That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
