Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense dand myrrh.
Gold, of course is money.
Frankincense was a perfume and spiritual incense, burned in temples throughout the East.
Myrrh is an expensive spice, used for making perfume, incense, medicine, and for anointing the dead.
Frankincense and Myrrh could easily be sold for money.
