For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Baptism was practice by Paul but not for Salvation. Only as a sign of Salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 (8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.) among many other scripture references make this very clear.

1 Corinthians 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
